You will be amazed at this Vette engine.

What got me was the AA battery next to the block. :BOW :thumb Jason

How Does a Vented Gas Cap Work?

I'm pretty sure a vented gas cap is basically a check valve. It allows atmosphere into the tank as the level decreases, so the tank does not draw a vacuum, and keeps the gas vapors in the tank where they belong. The vapor pressure of gasoline being what it is, if a vented gas cap allowed 2-way...

    Video: Attention Multiple Corvette Owners....

Definitely sounded British to me. I bet he's got an underground garage with more Lambo's in it. :thumb Jason

    Break Pedal Popping

I'm going to try another dealer that is a little closer to home. We'll see how that works. There is a dealer that sponsors one of the local Corvette clubs, but they are even further away than the first dealer I took her to. :thumb Jason

    Question: Track Day Prep

If anything, I would think decreasing tire pressure would be the way to go. It is not unusual for drag racers to decrease the tire pressure in the drive wheels. Bigger contact patch with the tires that way. Do not know if it will help with road racing though. Enjoy your weekend. :thumb Jason

Help! Where to start on an electrical problem...

I can already hear GMJunkie saying "Check the ground straps." :L An intermittent ground can do weird things to electronics. Good luck and welcome to the :CAC :thumb Jason

    Break Pedal Popping

I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from. :confused I do not know how I can explain it better. I get in the car. I start her up. I press down on the brake pedal, and about 1/2 way to the floor "pop". During normal driving, I do not need 1/2 the distance to the floor to stop. Just the...

    Break Pedal Popping

Lol, I'm pretty sure I did not confuse the brake pedal with the clutch. :) This issue is definitely the brakes. As I mentioned earlier, the performance of the brakes are fine. Well, everything except this popping that happens when the pedal is half way too the floor. As for the brake fluid, it...

Question: Who's Your Favorite Front Non "Film" Bra..??

I've had good luck with the GM front mask. It gives a nice tight fit and it is fairly easy to put on and take off. :thumb Jason

    40th Anniversary 40th anniversary DEFINITION

Yup, GM did the same thing in '78 for the 25th anniversary cars. All the '78 'Vettes had 25th anniversary badges, but only the ones ordered with the anniversary package were Silver anniversary editions. :thumb Jason

    Break Pedal Popping

Half-way to the floor. Yep, no issues with starting. She turns over the first time, every time. The brake pedal still pops, even with the car off. In the morning, when it is really cold (around freezing) the first few times I press on the brake pedal I can actually hear the popping as well...

    Storage Questions

A trickle charger is a good bet to keep your 'Vettes battery charged. Check out our article on Corvette storage in the Tech Center. :thumb Jason

    Break Pedal Popping

The ABS was the first thing the guy at the dealer suggested. Though he said it should only do it once, the first time I step on the brake pedal, and no more after that. I'm going to find another dealer closer to me. I have not been liking this dealer very much. :thumb Jason

    meguires microfiber towel

Microfiber is definately the way to go. Meguires makes good stuff too, I have been using their products for several years with no complaints. One thing about microfiber towels is that they love to hold on to stuff. So if you drop a towel on the ground, toss it in the laundry bin. And dont be...

    LT1 finally met its match

A cat-back exhaust and a cold air intake are good mods. Be careful with the exhaust though. Some C4 exhausts create a terrible drone while crusing at highway speeds. :thumb Jason

    Break Pedal Popping

My '08 C6 has developed a popping issue in the brake pedal. When the car is cold and I press down on the brake pedal I feel a little pop about 1/2 through the stroke of the pedal. It does not affect the performance of the brakes though. As the car warms up, the popping becomes softer and softer...
