Hey glad you got what you need, needless to say I did not get to it last night, it was so beautiful here I took the new 08 out for a cruise and then it was the hottub and before you know it I was asleep, lets know how it goes. :upthumbs
I have heard a lot about Zaino and it was recommended to me that before I apply this I should clay bar the entire car even though its only a month old, comments?
Also if Zaino is such a good product why does it take so many coats, everyone that talks about it says "I have 3, 4 even 5 coats" on...
I replaced the springs in my 76 doors and its not that big a deal, get the tool its cheap and helps a lot. I can take some pics tonight if you still need them.
If I remember you have to hold the springs in place then pry them into the stops, I will look at it again when I get home, it only took...
My 08 is set to the factory pressure but the dealership has filled the tires with nitrogen instead of O2, I have green valve stem caps to show that the tires have nitrogen in them. I took it back about a week after I picked it up because the DIC was showing two PSI higher on the left than on...
I had the same problem on my 08 the second day I had the car home. It was the dimmer switch on the dash to the left of the steering column. It should push in to turn off or on, depending on the previous position, all the interior lights. This will override the DIC setting and the lights will...
C5 the front on the GM ones do use the existing mount holes its just rear that require drilling holes (4 per side). I was not to excited about drilling holes in my 5 day old car but the holes just go into the inter fender well and not into the actual body panel so that made it a little easier...
I did mine yesterday and used Maguire's carnauba wax it looks great and that product is very easy to install.
Bonnell I would love to see some close up pics of your clear plastic protection and also your splash guards.
I put on the GM Z06 type splash guards on and they look great blend right in...
Thanks LVMYVT76, to be honest since I got my new 08 a week ago I have not paid to much attention to the 76 but that will change, can't ingore my favorite vette ;LOL
Vette79 you car looks great, I was in my first show last Saturday and took second, of course there were only 2 C-3's in the show so I am not going to tell you what that really means. I am just going to show off that second place thropy.;LOL
Hey anyone know of any reason to not wax the 08 right away? I remember back in the old days everyone said to wait a month or more to wax a new car but that can't be right any more, is it?
Thanks good info. My go with the hard plastic splash guards and the film nothing work with too much protection :). Have to see how the hard plastic GM ones look on a car, have not see a picture of them installed yet.
Thanks, I am still looking for a dealer that install's it in Oklahoma to get a estimate.
I like the new black GM splash guards also although my dealer is having a problem getting a set. Don't like the idea of drilling holes in the body behind the rear wheels so may not go that route.
Its...
The Mid American Motor works stuff is a eight piece kit which protects behind the front and rear wheels as well as the lower rocker panel in front of the rear wheel for 65$ but its a product called CLEARTASTIC which is not a 3M product as far as I can tell. The 3m product I believe is installed...
Has anyone used the stick on clear plastic chip protectors that go on behind and in front of the wheels? They even have them to go on the rear view mirrors.
Do they work and stay on?
If not what do you do for splash protectors, anything?
