    headlights wont close

TBTR could be right. There is a nob at the bottom of the dash, under the steering wheel. If it is pulled out it will keep your headlights from closing. This is there in case you want to clean your headlights, or if you stop for gas or what ever, you don't have to close and open the...

    C3 Dual Exhaust Question

Well, how does it sound? Does your car perform better?

    Tachometer light bulb change

It's a fact that old incandescent bulbs will burn out. I'm interested in this post because I would like to know if LED's would be better looking than the old ones. The last thing I want to do is tear into the dash, or the gauge cluster for any reason, so the LED's are tempting. I just don't...

    C3 Dual Exhaust Question

I don't live near were you live, but there are probably "mom and pop" shops that would do it. Big box outfits like Midus, or Tuffy, etc. will never touch it. I'd show up in person and discuss your issue with smaller off the radar shops. If you call over the phone, you will probably get a no...

replacing heater core in 77 Corvette w/air

I believe I have a heater core that's leaking. My windshield is fogging, I smell antifreeze, etc. How difficult is to replace one of these?

    Why Aren't We Ever Satisfied?

I didn't know the zerk was a weak spot.

    Why Aren't We Ever Satisfied?

When one gets done everything you wanted to do to a car, and there is nothing else to do, then it ceases to be a hobby in a strange way. I guess you can clean, and detail the heck out of it. That's what I'm doing right now. I guess with all the torque you make w/454 you can make a part time...

Antique Black & Decker Valve Grinding Machine

I remember back in the 70's, I (and others I new) ground the old valves, with what I was taught was better than factory grind. I don't remember what the specs were, but we did it, and it worked. If the rods, pistons, valves were in good condition, we reused them.

With These C3's It NEVER Stops

Boy, I remember Sunoco 260, "260 action to be used, not abused". That was an invitation to me.

    Rear Suspension

If you replaced the mono spring, I'd bet the farm you are NOT bottoming out on the spring. I would say SVO is right about your rear suspension. I am not a believer in air shocks for any reason. Air shocks act as an extra spring. The shock mounts were never designed for this kind of stress...

cheap velco left stain parking brake console

I have some dye in a spray can from Corvette Central. I am very reluctant to us it because it is "nasty", and I'm afraid it will flake off after while. A new one is about 45 dollars, so I could try it, and if it doesn't work it' not that big of deal. I just don't know how the console comes...

cheap velco left stain parking brake console

I tried to keep my aftermarket armrest in place with velcro, and it left a black stain behind on the vinyl center console. I tried getting it off with wd40, vinyl cleaner, and soap and water. Nothing worked. The glue was gummy from heat, so it didn't stick in the first place. I didn't see...

    Rear Bearing Hubs

OK, you are saying this was debunked some 50 yrs ago? When I read TBTR's comment, it sounded like a good way to grease every bit of the bearing surface area. Well, this is the first time I have heard of this. Never too late to learn, and unlearn something even when I'm on the near side of 60.

Wipers power OFF while driving in rain.....

Would a loose wire cause the wipers to quit after using the wipers for a while? I had bad motor that acted something like this back in the 70's, but I am not able to remember the details.
