I have this problem with my 90. The only thing I can find to cause it is worn throttle body shaft bore.
Seems as though the plates bind a little . You can check this with the engine not running , on mine
the shaft has some forward and back play.
I had the pedal out and checked but all seemed...
If my memory doesn't fail me the emrg. flasher switch is part of the signal light switch .
Usually a small threaded stud protrudes from the column or just inside of the mounting hole.
Could be EGR stuck open due to a piece of carbon. Dirty fuel filter is possible but usually don't come on that quickly.
Fuel pressure regulator is a bypass system,, could be stuck open but again unusual.
Throttle position sensor is also a possibility.
Gates makes something they call a Unicoil It is a spring like piece with a metal strip attached that you slide over the hose.
bend to the radius you want and the coil keeps the hose bent and keeps it from kinking . Part number for the 3/4 is 28512
Makes routing hoses in tight places a lot...
Have you checked all grounds ? Check connections on all the sensors, I recently found my temp sensor connection badly rusted.
Seems that some sensors have to be totally nonfunctional before they throw a code.
Don't be to quick to convert to 134A the price on it is right up there and the price of R12 has really dropped.
Even though the 134A works ok, you will never get the cooling of the R12. Check the price of R12 before you
convert.
I ordered this cable a couple weeks ago ... it works great. OBD Diagnostics, Inc. - ALDL (GM OBD1) Cable with 12 pin Connector
I downloaded DataMaster TTS Power Systems
you get 20 free logs , think you can scan without logging and it don't count against it.
the only thing that gave me...
Correct. The 90 was a one yr wheel. Perosnally I think it is the best looking wheel that ever came on a C4. 89 was much like it but had a hubcap.
In 88 they used a few like
the 89 but painted for the anniversery model I think.

If the pilot bearing was a needle bearing style and it started to come apart it could bind on the shaft and spin the trans with the clutch disengaged.
I will share an experience with my 90 clutch. For those that don't know it has the ZF 6 speed. The flywheel failed and I replaced everything to...
make sure the the port where the PVC hooks into isn't restriced. Also make sure your
exhaust isn't restriced . Is the engine running a little warm?
