I found this on the front of the block near the passenger fender. It's on an edge that pops out further than the rest of the block. It's under the alternator. I think this is the right number. I took a wire brush and paint thinner to get the motor paint and grease off.

When I purchased my 74 corvette I was told the block had cracked and they had switched it out with an engine (or maybe just the block) from a 74 camaro. However, after looking at the block I noticed it was stamped 76. I decided to look up the vin number on a camaro forum and it definitely...
I have a 1974 Corvette with medium saddle interior. I was wondering if anyone had door panels, seats, carpet, ect. If you have any good parts I may be able to dye them. I've also been thinking about switching my interior to black.
I was putting a replacement radio in my vette the other day and decided it would be easier if the t tops were off. It would give me more light and a bit more room to move around while removing the gauge bezel. Long story short when my friend was putting the driver side t top back on he dropped...
I found a pair of new 1974 Corvette Leaf Springs on ebay. I was wondering what all is required to install a new set. As far as I can tell the auction is just for the leaf springs. Is there any type of mounting hardware I will need to buy separately?
I bought a pair of nearly new sbc headers. They came off a 350. I was wondering if headers are generic, or if you have to buy them to specifically fit a certain 350?
Thanks
I've also been looking into superchargers. From what I found Nos is the most "bang" for the buck. I happened to run across a kit on the internet the other day allowing you to use a supercharger off a 3.8L. I didn't think a 3.8 supercharger would push enough psi to account for the large...
I had a question about sitting up a nos sniper nitrous system. I have an edelbrock performer intake and carburettor. I'm a bit confused about the amount of gas I'll need. I know I'll need to install a larger fuel pump. I'm not exactly sure of the type or performance of the pump though.
I...
I found a really good deal on a truflex bumper cover for a 1975. I was just wondering. I know the 1974 had a split bumper. However, the truflex just has a simulated split. Would a bumper cover off a 1975 fit? He only wants $100 for it, compared to a new one that will cost around $350
When I purchased my Corvette the back bumper cover had been removed. They claimed it fell of while they were driving down the road, but I tend to believe they backed into something. The actual steel bumper is still intact and in good shape. It looks like the left side support bracket is on...
I finally got around to installing the throttle cable bracket. It moved the mounting point back quite a bit. I moved the throttle cable back as far as I could. The car definitely picks up speed quicker now, but I still don't hear the four barrel kick in. Is there a way to test the four...
It was up there, but the carpet had somehow got pushed up around it. Wow, I'm not used to seeing glass fuses in a car. I was expecting the two prong plastic type. Does anyone have a diagram that shows what the fuses are for?
how far up in the dash will it be? I've put my hand up in there and don't feel any fuse box. Just the heater ducts. I feel a wiring harness. Maybe I'll follow that and see where it leads. It has to connect to fuses somewhere. :upthumbs
I know this is a completely newbie question, but I am stumped. I cannot find the fuse box in my '74 corvette anywhere. I've noticed the the courtesy lights in the glove box and the dome light when I open the door aren't coming on. I looked under the drivers side dash to the left of the...
