    Question: Edelbrock Throttle Cable

Thanks. I just found the edelbrock 8036 on ebay. Picked it up for $14. Can't go wrong there. Hopefully this works. I can't really tell from the picture of it how it's going to bolt up. Will it connect the the carb or the intake manifold? Right now the bracket is bolted to the intake.

    Question: Edelbrock Throttle Cable

Would anyone happen to know the part number for the bracket? I've found a few of them. The part numbers I found at advanced auto are 8036, 8031 and various others with the 803x number. I can't really tell which one from the pictures.

    Question: Edelbrock Throttle Cable

I'm really hoping he put an engine from a 1974 z28 camaro. That would be an L82 I believe.

    Question: Edelbrock Throttle Cable

When I purchased my 74 vette the previous owner had switched out motor with a v8 out of a 74 Camaro. I still haven't gotten around to running the vin to see what type of motor it is. He also replaced the intake and the carb with an Edelbrock intake and carb. However, when he made the switch...

    Hydromatic vs turbo 400/700r4

Sorry about that. I don't know why I put L88. My engine is an L82 or some other 350. The engine has been swapped and I still haven't looked up the vin number on the block, mostly because I still haven't found it. I believe it should be on the front drivers side of the block. I know it came...

    Hydromatic vs turbo 400/700r4

I currently have a stock hydromatic in my 1974 Corvette L88. The motor has been swapped in my car and I'm not really sure if it's an L88 or not any more. I'm still trying to locate the vin on it. Anyway, lately I've been driving and it shifts hard out of first into second. However, I never...

    Help! c3 heater not working

Where exactly are the connectors under the hood for the heater core. Unfortunately I do have an AC vehicle. I see two random hoses hanging under the car. They are about the size of water hose. It looks like they are under the heater blower box. Could this be them?

Floor Pan ? Repair or Replace

Does anyone know if a '74 stingray has a fiberglass floor? I just bought one and after I got it home noticed the back of the drivers seat isn't bolted down and there is a wood block under it. I'm praying my floor pan isn't rusted out and they rigged it up.

    Help! c3 heater not working

Turns out the heater core is not connected. The guy I bought the car off of said it's always been disconnected. Go figure. :upthumbs This should be an easy fix. I'll probably check the blower switch to see if the high fan speed terminal is corroded. I did some research and it looks like...

    Help! c3 heater not working

Thanks for the info. The fan does appear to work in at least two different speeds. However, the highest speed really doesn't blow all that hard. Is this normal on these cars? I can feel the air blowing out at the 3 different places (feet, vents, dash). I'm starting to wonder if my heater...

    Help! c3 heater not working

I recently bought a 1974 Corvette L82. I hop in it this morning and attempt to turn on the defrosters. To my surprise nothing happens. I play with the controls and the blower comes on when I move the switch and the turn wheel to different position. However, hardly any air blows out. When I...

Help! Front end lifts at high speed

ok. thanks guys. I'm not at all familiar with the car yet. Does the suspension come stock with the ability to set ride height? Also, how would I go about building an air damn? Would it be something I'd make with fiberglass and bolt on, or is there an easier way?

Help! Front end lifts at high speed

I was wondering if anyone knew of any type of wing or suspension I can buy to keep the front of the car from lifting off the ground after about 120 mph. I just bought the car and found out it does this. Is it normal on a 74 stingray? I have the L82 engine in it and it's slightly modified. It...
