Some guys take them in on trade (basically steal them), or grab them at the auctions cheap as heck. Then if the cars are'nt moving at a retail rate they just blow them out. I come across crazy deals like this in RI often.

I sold my stock exhaust for $200 to a guy on the net who had his stock exhaust damaged by a tow truck driver taking the Vette off a flat bed. If you put it on the net it will sell. People look for stock parts to fix wrecks all the time.

X pipes are better for top end. The H pipe is better for low end torque and street use. At least thats what the late great John Lingenfelter said. They sure do market the heck out of those X pipes though. Everyone seems to have got one.

Its probably a respray of medium purple pearl metalic, thats why its a little darker than the factory spray.

That looks like a custom color, not a factory C5 color. The car has a high rise after market hood, so that confirms at minumum, that it was painted.
