    luggage holder

MidAmerica used to show a suitcase in their catalog for about $500. Don't see it displayed anymore (probably, because they didn't sell many). We get by using garment bags and other collapsible-type bags.

    Water pump already?

FWIW.... with coolant flying around the engine bay it is likely that some moisture may have entered the opti. You may not know for days or months if corrosion is silently at work. Just in case that you are not aware that once you have removed the water pump, the opti is exposed, and...

    thermostat question

You might want to consider installing a fail-safe t-stat. If it fails, it fails in the 'open' position: http://www.motoradusa.com/ There are several brands on the market, so check around..

    Electrical Help needed

Are you using a meter to determine power, or watching your dash lights? It is unlikely that you will solve this problem without a volt/ohm meter, and a diagnostic decision tree, unless you really get lucky. If all you did was to 'touch' wires, I would recommend that you disconnect the battery...

    Electrical Help needed

I'm confident that you are working with a 'short'. I owned a '73 many years ago, and was in hopes that I still had the manual, but no luck. Some member should have a wiring schematic that will help solve your problem

    Electrical Help needed

Electricity 1A.... disconnect battery. Start with the fuse box (if you haven't looked already), and migrate from there. I'll see if I have wiring diagrams for your application, and check back..........

    Spare

It would appear that the rubber is disintegrating, if that is the source of the bubbles. My spare has not lost pressure in 12 years (checked annually). Check around the junk yards in your area for a replacement tire/wheel. If you find a comparable tire, but the bolt pattern of the wheel...

    Door striker stuck tight

If the striker is still in place, and you have access to a new one, you might use a pipe wrench (which will destroy the surface of the striker) adding a length of pipe to the handle for added leverage. Something is going to move. Let's hope it is the striker, and not the pillar.

What does SYS mean flashing on the display

When ever you see 'SYS' flash, it means that a diagnostic trouble code has been detected. You will need to buy or borrow a code reader (or use a paper clip) to understand what the ECM has in storage: http://corvettebuyers.com/c4vettes/codes.htm
