If I remember correctly, the auxillary fan comes on automatically if the motor gets up to an unusually high temperature. In my L98 car, I ran my auxillary fan hot to the battery with a toggle switch that I wired in by the shifter. Are you looking for it to run all the time?

Luckily I didn't replace anything. One day the AC just stopped blowing cold air. The motor works fine though. After I reconnected the battery it somehow resets itself and all has been fine ever since.

Try cleaning in front of the radiator between the air condensor and radiator. Sometimes if it is pretty clogged with junk your radiator doesn't get the proper air flow. Also, how old if your thermostat? Is it possible it's sticking?
