    Longer rear spring bolts...

Ken, I also used the bolts on my '85 and it lowered the rear to the perfect height. For some reason, when lowering my ZR-1 it just didn't lower the car that much and my driver side was practically out of threads. I had a little bit left on the passenger side though. So I ditched the bolts and...

    Longer rear spring bolts...

Ken, I installed the Mid-America bolts on mine but they weren't long enough to lower the car where I wanted it. I had custom bolts made that were longer and very heavy duty on my ZR-1. If you can get 'em longer I would. Jay

    L98 Intake porting

I agree. I also wouldn't attempt to do this on the car. It would make more sense to take it off because of how easy it is to remove. Jay

    Lowering the '86

I found the rear on mine took quite a bit of adjusting. It seemed that my driver's side was "stiffer". For the rear, I would just adjust the nut, drive it around the block to settle, and then measure from the top of the wheel well to the ground. After I got both sides exactly even, I had to get...

    L98 Intake porting

Ha! I think that's where I read it also. I actually never noticed a difference, but it's one of those things where every little bit helps......especially if it costs next to nothing to do Jay

    L98 Intake porting

I "heard" that if you port the manifold out to it's fullest potential it is still a lot smaller than TPIS's big mouth manifold. The only true way to know is through dyno results. Jay

    L98 Intake porting

I don't have any pics but I've done 3 of them. Pretty easy but requires a pretty hefty air compressor. I would have to stop every now and then to let the compressor charge back up. There are 2 large chunks of aluminum directly behind the butterfly openings of the plenum that you will want to...

    ZR-1 is gone

Well, I was afraid of this day. I sold my ZR-1. The only good thing to come from this is that my Dad is the one who bought it so it is still in the family. He loves it. It will be a little while before I get another Vette as I needed to free up some money for some business ventures. Not sure...

Looking for info on a rare ZR-1

That Shinoda kit looks tough. There's a Grand Sport locally by me that has that same kit. Jay

A ZR-1 as your first Corvette?

My ZR-1 has been the easiest Corvette to maintain (It's only my second Vette though....). The oil is very simple to change and the plenum really is not difficult to pull off to change whatever you want under there. I put better coil packs and plug wires on mine. The only time I've ever heard of...
