It's interesting that Callaway has no mention of it in their literature. While I'm not a Callaway owner, I do own a Typhoon, and after reading my manual cover to cover, I also find no mention of a cooling period after prolonged turbo use. Of course I might have missed it, and I'll look again...

Pioneer 4x6 speakers fit okay. They are what I put in mine. Even had room for bass filters on them. It's a close fit, but there is room. Sound quality is Pioneer too. :D T Jay

Rich, I'm not exactly sure on the '78 dash, but if it's the same as the '81 dash, it's not a big project at all. There's just a little cover at each side for the speakers on top of the dash. Just get a shorty flathead screwdriver to pry the cover off. It's held on with tabs if I remember...

If it's an 81, the engine should be an L81, only option available, and I'm sure someone can help you with verification. :) T Jay
