My vette runs good with the ECM unplugged from the HEI as soon as I plug it in it stalls in gear does that me my ECM is bad .I know when its unplugged that considered Bypass is it bad to run the car like that.It really does run well but sucks up the fuel Thanks.

How do I recurve my HEI on my 81vette

Tach What did you do with the tach hook up when you installed new distributor and which distributor did you use

When you rid the 81 vette of the computer by unplugging the HEI which puts it in the bypass mode it goes back to the original timing can you then dump the EGR stuff without effecting carb. operation

OK now that I deceided to replace intake keep qjet what do I do with the HEI to get it off the computer and make all this perform better. The four prong plugged is unplugged and the car runs great until I plug it back in then the car stalls when I put it in gear.Thanks

Intake ,Dist Thanks for the replys I think Im going to go with the #21011 polished performer intake with the thunder avs carb 650 cfm or 800 cfm and the MSD pro billet HEI #8365 I will let you know what happens. Any other comments would be appreiciated.
