    Cover up?

Did he say that? And both are capable of producing prodigious amounts of hot air ;) .

    0 to 160 in 5th

Agreed! :L The salesperson I bought mine from called and said they had a "used" red 2006 Z06 I should look at. Turns out it had 803 miles on it and belonged to the father of NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth. Forgot what they had it listed at ($73,000) but they were already getting bids higher than...

    0 to 160 in 5th

Thanks...hadn't seen it. I wonder if the Z06 is as "bad" a daily driver as our affable British host makes it out to be?

Borla or B&B?? Expert advice please

Better late than never? Hey Navy! I was an Aviation Fire Control Tech for F4Js, until I busted up my knee. And hello from Oregon WI! I think you're making a good choice. I just traded my 02 C5 coupe which had a Borla system on it. Sounded mean at idle and growled proud at WOT. No problems with...

    C6 EMT question

I've got the same, Eagle F1 GS-2s. I just bought mine new as well (2 weeks ago), so I guess we both have 05s that were built relatively late in the production cylce.

    2005 Corvette Production Numbers Released

Another Option You can print it directly, as suggested by FastMover, or you can save it to your local hard drive for printing and/or reformatting later. To save it, click on FILE, then SAVE AS, then pick WEB ARCHIVE, SINGLE FILE in the "Save as type" field. Important!! Make a note of where...

    Battery Discharge

So far so good for me too... I think we can be encouraged. I've had my 2005 C6 for 2 days now, stored in the garage, but it's been down in the teens and 20's overnight last couple of days. It has started up each day with no problems. I make sure I've got the stick in reverse, and I keep the...

GM - Here is what we think of the License Plate Mount

Thanks for the tip. Just traded my C5 for a C6 and was worried about the butt ugly front plate mount. 2 plates are required in Wisconsin, although I've been running the C5 without one for over a year now and haven't been pulled over yet. It's nice to have a backup plan just in case I do. Dave...

    Break-in period??

Enjoy the new ride :D . Last night I traded my 2002 black/oak 6 speed for a 2005 silver/black 6 speed. Drove it a little around the lot and it sounds pretty good with the stock exhaust. Can't wait to "break it in." They actually had it discounted, plus I got a $500 incentive/rebate for something...

    BRR...

[I don't let winter slow me down! Got to love the heated mirrors and rear windows. So when the waxers and Nancys are parked I am enjoying my car! MIke] Agreed. Give me a half-decent day and she and I go out and get dirty. Half the fun is looking at people looking at me out in the dead of winter...

How Do I Remove Rear License Plate Frame

Thank You! I was out in the garage trying to figure out how to get the rear license plate frame off, didn't quite see the trick, and was feeling completely stupid :confused . I didn't want to break anything, and thought I'd have to humble myself and make a stop at the dealership (couldn't find...

    New to Standard Transmission

Shifting First, I'd verify whether or not Skip Shift (CAGS?) is enabled or disabled. That will determine whether or not you can shift from first to second, or will be forced to shift from first to fourth during light acceleration from a dead stop. If it's enabled, buy the skip shift...

    Goodbye

Stuff happens. Sorry you had a bad experience with the '98. My 02 C5 is one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned, and I tend to "get on it" harder than any car I've ever owned. Much more reliable that the Camaro's and Trans Ams I've had in the past. I also ran a '97 Mustang Cobra for...

    Tires price

Yes. Almost exactly what I paid for mine last summer. The Chevy dealer was going to rip me off on replacement Goodyear's so I went with the Michelin's from a local tire merchant. After driving on the Michelin's for a year, I'm still not sure which tire I prefer. Dave

C5 Threads We Never Need Again

Flight Line Hmmmm, it is a Navy tradition, sort of ;) . When a new person comes on board it tradition (at least on carriers) to send them down to the supply shop for "100 feet of flight line." :W Oh, and then there was the one about keeping a sharp lookout for "sea bats." Builds...
