I agree. Here are DRLs on my 1967. The high-intensity filaments on the 1157 bulbs are lit.

yes or no 78 style rear bumper on a 80-82

Thought you might enjoy this. One of our Club members has a 1980 convertible with a 454 installed.

yes or no 78 style rear bumper on a 80-82

I put in some new back-up lenses/pods today to replace the faded old. It's pretty complicated under the 1974 bumper. I would not advise you to convert.

yes or no 78 style rear bumper on a 80-82

No, they don't fasten from the outside surface. They are held on the reddish plate in the pic by nuts. Bulb installation is from the backside as well. I don't have pics of ill-fitting bumpers but the problem is well known. These braces are 1974-only as well. They secured the center areas of...

yes or no 78 style rear bumper on a 80-82

You can't remove the bumperettes without incurring a lot of labour and material work. Could get expensive. One option might be to purchase a one-piece (non-split) rear bumper for a 1974. The 1974 is the only rubber bumper car without bumperettes. The one on my car is fiberglass, much sturdier...

This is a dwell tachometer but you need a code reader.

    Post pictures of your C3

Jane Ann, The car arrived here in Canada from TN in early April. Note the A1 quality Haartz canvas top. In May. July. Windjammer installed. Oxblood interior with KHE-300, MP3-ready stereo. A few glitches along the way. Want to know how to replace a heater core on an A/C car?

I think the fact that you have to use two amps to get quality sound tells a story. A normal head unit does not need amps.

KHE is Ken Harrison Enterprises based in Bogata, Texas. I believe they use Kenwood units modified for classic cars. As Corvette Central is a sponsor here I believe that I can make a referral for you re part numbers on their web site: #103426, KHE-200 50W x 4 (200W) cassette, MP3 AUX jacks on...

Gerry, I have been thinking about this today, with no conclusion. But you may have purchased a Custom AutoSound head unit which is junk. This is well-documented on a number of Fora. I dumped one out of my 1967 a couple of years ago. It just went in the garbage. A miserable piece of work. I...

Gerry, My kick panels were not carpetted....? And they were the correct colour (oxblood). On sound, I have quite the opposite experience?? I am very pleased with the performance of the Pioneer speakers. I used two-ways up top (they were a gift) and three-ways in the panels.

Gerry makes a good point: take breaks from time-to-time. When tired and frustrated it is so easy to make mistakes (often costly).

The heater core job is done! And on the brighter side, it gave me the opportunity to upgrade my stereo system. I had a barely functional Kenwood cassette unit (15W x 4) with two bargain basement upper dash speakers. The new is a KHE-300 period-correct-looking unit with 50W x 4 power. There is...

While we're ranting...this is my definition of GROSS!! One of the nastiest jobs I have ever encountered on a Corvette. But I finished up yesterday.
