    Restoration Parts

Wow! That made me blush.... A little off topic here but this is my significant other (in green). And I do wish all our American friends a grand and happy national holiday!

    Restoration Parts

As well as the above suggestions, EBay can be your friend. The 1974 Corvette is an interesting animal. Last year of true dual exhaust, last year with points and condensor, first year with rubber bumpers front and rear, no "bumperettes" on those, split rear bumper, and unique tail lights...

    1974 Horn Fused Circuit

I have been doing my usual klutz work and broke a part in the steering column related to the horn. When I pulled the horn knob the three nylon studs on the upper contact assembly snapped. I will fix that but I think I blew a fuse. The Owner's Manual does not tell me how/on what circuit the horn...

1963 Corvette locking gas cap vented or non vented??

As I said in another forum just use it and see if it works without creating vacuum within the tank.

My absence from the CAC lately

Bob, No problem. The half-century mark passed a few years ago for me and I have moments as well. My original console had a few minor scratches and pits so a couple of years ago I picked up another original (not repro) on EBay. It is a wee bit better and is on the car now. So in essence, I have...

My absence from the CAC lately

Bob, Must be a case of mistaken identity. The Powerglide is still in place. Barry, This is a local car that I used to drool over. I didn't see it at the shows last summer though.

My absence from the CAC lately

Thanks, Bob. I guess original 1967 consoles can be pretty rare. In any case, it is New Year's Eve. Have a great one!

My absence from the CAC lately

Bob, I'll still hang on to the 1967 console. For goodness sake, there are many out there, original and repro.

My absence from the CAC lately

Bob, Thanks for the greetings. My flame is flickering on Corvettes. Just musing about but thinking about a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible these days.

    64 Optima & headers

That simple shield is basically just a friction fit under the battery. It certainly does reflect radiant heat from the exhaust manifold away. Mind you, mine are stock manifolds but I have not had battery problems for years. I have never used headers so that may be another ball-game. As with...
