    Forced Air

Air Dam Tlong, The air dam for the radiator is 4" off the ground, what the debate is here is abut the license plate area being used for the air duct which is about 14" above the ground.

    Lt1 Heads On A L98!

L98 - LT1 Heads I would think it would be much easier to port your exsisting heads, or by some aftermarket heads with a similar air flow or better then the LT1's. Seems your going through a lot of extra work when alternatives are available. Just an opinion.

    Help! Noises after 4.11 installation!

AutoX I would say do the AutoX, then see what happens. It's supposed to be a very fast course this time, which will mean heavy on the straight aways, short on the turns. If something were to happen, we usually have a couple of people who trailor their cars that would drive it home, and let the...

Power Effects Exhaust...... Anyone have it??

Power Effects I do have the power effects on my "94". The downside to the system is it does have resonence. Joe ( I think this is his name) at PE warned me about it several times before I purchased the system. I always drive with the system open, you never know when you'll meet up with a...

    Newbie askin advice...

Headers Don't forget about long tube headers, if they are allowed in yor state, which I believe they are. It's quite simple, more airflow will get you more power. Do the intake stuff, then do the exhaust stuff, you'll feel the difference. As mentioned above cooling down the engine, and the...

    Forced Air

A little water Back in the old carberator days, we use to clean the carbon off of the valves by dripping water from a garden hose down the carb barrel. Durring a rain, or evan a storm, I doubt that enough water could be ingested through the openning, through the air cleaner, up the ducting, and...

    Help! Noises after 4.11 installation!

Tranny You need to take it to a different transmission shop for a completly neutral opinion. I know the guys you are talking about, and I believe they are all honest people, but to for you to feel good about this you need another opinion. I recommend the following shop: Grant & Dans...

    What rearend gear ratio?

Cost Don't worry about saving the money, I'm sure we can figure out a way for you to spend it. $1500 will buy some decent horsepower.

    Tire question for '88 coupe

Tires I think it depends upon your budget. The new Goodyears are great, as posted in a previous thread. Kumhos, and Sumitomo's are also good, with the Kumhos probably a bit more popular. It also depends on what you use the car for, daily driver, autox, drags, show. Not really an easy question...

    What rearend gear ratio?

Gears The 3.73 would seem like the logical choice, but I doubt that the difference from stock would be worth the investment. 4.11's will work great for racing, but might be a little too much if you use your car as a daily driver. Check out the post by Skant, he has just completed the mod on his...

    WetOkole Seat Covers

? I would be interested to find out if anyone has used them on a 94-96 with sport seats?

    Forced Air

Ram Intake You do not cut the air shroud at all. If you notice the air dam for the radiator is below the license plate, under the bumper, so it does not effect airflow at all.

    Forced Air

Forced Air Induction I have installed the forced air induction on my "94". I seems to work good, but I have yet to really give it a go as my tranny was giving me some problems. The car should be back for the shop tomorrow, so with everything working well, I should be able to tell you what I...

Can I find out what options my vette has from the VIN number

My "94" has the option codes under the center consol lid as well.

    Throttle body coolant bypass

By-Pass You can just remove the hoses, and cap the conectors off at all ends. The only reasons that I can think of for using the kits is if you need to replace the hoses often, such as to pass smog test, or if you live in colder climats (freezing), and use the heating quality for the throttle body.

    LT4 Hypertech + LT4?

Octane I read the Hypertech manual, and what is say's about fuel is to use premium, 93 octane, or whatever is the best available. I used the Hypertech on my LT1 prior to putting on th ported AFR LT4 heads, and had no ill effects what so ever, without using octane booster. I started using the...

AFR heads - Should I go with 180cc or 195cc?

AFR's I would check out all options, if you haven't already done so. Very happy with my AFR's, but as I posted before, with an LT1/LT4 there are limited options, yoiu have many more choices with an L98. Good Luck!

Max Tire size in a 92

Tires Funny, we must have not read the same reviews. I have read the users reviews at the tirerack website, and almost everyone was happy with these tires. The only 2 negitive reviews I saw out of the first dozen reviews was from a ricer, who thought they wore unevanly, and another ricer who...

    LT4 Hypertech + LT4?

Hypertech I've been using the Hypertech on mine for over a year on California gas. I do use an octane booster, I'm running AFR LT4 heads with slightly higher than stock compression. Make sure it is a potroliem based booster. I've been using about 1/2 bottle per tankful with no problems. I say...

AFR heads - Should I go with 180cc or 195cc?

AFR's Hi, I have the 195's on my LT1. Be prepared that when you order your heads from them it will take a while. It took them a good 6 weeks last year when I ordered mine. They did a very good job witht the porting. You have many options available to you with your motor. The LT1/LT4 is limited...
