still lacking 12 volts to AC compressor

Replace the AC programmer, now the air blows where it is supposed to. although the blower speed does not seem to blow as hard as I remember on my 93 Vette The head unit seems to work properly. No codes (c68)Even when you pull the codes the 00 shows no problems and #9 seems to indicate correctly...

Help! squeaking clicking noise at back tire?

When I was restoring the C3 Vettes it usually meant a bad wheel bearing. I haven't had to do any of that on my C4, But in the C3's if it trashed out in the housing you were in big trouble. Of course they had inner and outer bearings if I remember right.

    ac compressor problems

Before you take anything off do you have the tools to recharge the system? You will need a vacumn pump, a set of gauges, and 134a freon( I believe that had made the change by 96.) If you have to change it all out you need to make sure the conmpressor has oil in it. Use ester oil as it is...

    Help! Humm...

Dogfish has it right. On the 90 vettes you can use a paper clip to jump the pins on the aldl connector and read the codes. It will help you determine where the problem might be. Do you have a FSM?

    Help! Humm...

Speaking of the cat, does it smell like rotten eggs? 85 Elcamino had the problem, smelled bad, no power at all. Check your injectors with a meter. Should read around 16.4 ohms. Check the fuel rail pressure, it should be at 42 with the key on. If only 1 injector reads low zap it with 12...

    A/C programmer.

Does anyone know if the A/C programmer for 1990 is a one year only part? Don't want to buy the wrong part. The dealership shows different numbers for 89,90 and 91. the number for 90 is 88961234. Thanks Bob

    A/C programmer.

A/C clutch does not engage. Changed A/C clutch relay, that's not it. No voltage to any of the system. No codes of any kind. The A/C head unit shows no codes. If the A/C programmer is bad would it throw a code somewhere? Clutch works with direct 12 volts. The defrost button does not send...

    A/C compressor

Bay, Pretty sure I have a small leak, all of these sytems had this issue.. Problem is I can't get the compresor to engage to load more freon. It's not getting 12 volts to the compressor. I tried jumping the low pressure switch and its not getting 12 volts . think it might be the relay or the...

    A/C compressor

Hello again. AC clutch does not engage. Clutch engages with 12 volts direct. I do have the C68. Fuse is good. I tried jumping the Low pressure switch, did not work. System has pressure and there are no codes thrown. The FSM talked about a 5 amp under hood fuse, but if it's there it's the most...

    "SYS" blinking on my dash

you will need two resistors and you will add 2 wires to the 12 volt supply . splice those into the two wires in the original harness that pluged into the original system. Pretty easy once you idetify the 2 wires you need.
