    A-arm bushings

[Take it to someone with an air chisel (or if you have a compressor and air tools..invest in one) and you will be able to get them out in seconds or minutes in the worst case scenario.

    C3's as projects?

sure, these cars are awesome project cars..and great mod cars too. jsut don't sink a lot of money into restoring a late c3 and expect to get much out of it.

    Anyone Seen These Side Pipes!?

Didn't know that..sure bites. Yeah, Jere Stahl's stuff is expensive but quality always is. I'm planning on building my own BBC headers just need to locate some stainless flanges or have them cut w/ a water jet (after I model the flanges and for that I need the exact dimensions :) )

    supercharger for 82

and fitting something in your engine bay is a problem, you'd probably end up needing a reverse rotation procharger to mount in front of the engine to have enough room, there's next to no room on the sides w/ the upper control arms in the way.

Thanks for the compliments. I've got the shipping dilemma pretty well nailed down, I have several buddies who store stuff for me and there's a guy here in NL that has a container shipping stuff from the US to here, all the large parts go via him and it works like a charm. Thanks for the offer...

Koni Special vs. Koni Classic, what's the difference?

Hmm..my reply must have gotten lost or something, I'm certain I replied to this thread when the 1st post was posted...oh well I suspect the classic and special shocks are the same, just labelled as classics for older cars. The Koni shocks in the US are made by ITT, the original ones are made...

Maximum tire size on a 74 Stingray?

for 275s you probably have to move the parking brake bracket on the trailing arm to the top of the arm, earlier vettes usually run into clearance problems there w/ 275s 275/50s or 60s look awesome, they give that more meaty look to the back. Don't have pics of mine (used to have 255 front and...

    Clam-shell on the C3 anyone.... :-)

the kit is only for pr 80 models because the 80-82 w/ the longer chin can't open, it'll hit the ground. The kit is no longer available, some still carry the clamshell hood but the hardware is not available. What I don't like is that it hinges at the header bar so the stock lights have to be...

    '82' Engine idol too fast

ECM controls idle speed however you can set minimum air (IAC's closed, the air that passes by the closed throttle plates), high idle is usually a vac. leak as jim said.

    '80-'82 rear

the earlier cast iron cases bolt right up, there's s some pretty stout parts available for those, also a 12 bolt conversion, you do need to run the halfshafts w/ the drive flanges since the cast iron diff uses the stubs w/ the drive flanges, you can't reuse the old halfshafts, als you need to...

    '80-'82 rear

all manual 80 & 81s and all 82s have a diff that uses larger stub axles and the irs uses larger halfshafts also, the 80 & 81 automatics have the weaker stuff so a manual is definitely the way to go (or an 82 but there were no manuals in 82) The stock diff isn't very strong indeed but as long as...

    C3 Control Arms

Yup, the ball joint sits back from the centerline of the control arm, the lower oens are also like that (but easy to recognise as the sway bar bracket is on the front)

Beefing up the sway bar mounting area

What projects? Sounds interesting, I was commenting on norval's posts, when I saw this posts I checked his other topic and the first couple had 0 replies and they are all in C3.
