    Vacuum Advance

Hooked it up I hooked up the vacuum advance to the port just behind the front right side bolt on the primary carb and adjusted the timing (12 degress out). The mark didn't even show on the gauge. The service manual said to set it at 4 degress BDTC. Does this sound optimum or has anyone set...

    Vacuum Advance

I've said it before there's no substitute for experience. John, Thanks for all the information. With a vacuum gage, and someone who knows a little more about what they're doing than I, I'm going to attempt to get this advanced hooked up right. As I see it now, hooking up the advance isn't...

    Today's the Day!!

I remember that feeling I still get that feeling each week when I get off the grounds for about 12 hours to go cruise. You're gonna have a blast today. Enjoy

    Electric Door Locks

installation A place called Cinema Electronics installed the alarm and locks. The alarm was a Viper Alarm. I didn't ask about the locks. I just wanted them to work...they made them work. 71Shark has also done a couple of these installations. Maybe they will chime in and tell you what...

    Electric Door Locks

Can Be Done Bob, I had electric locks installed in my 69 (which has the same rotating mechanism in the arm rest) when I had the alarm installed. Chris, 69MyWay, also installed them on his car if I'm not mistaken. He could probably give you more specifics on the subject since he would have...

    Too Hot

Update The new radiator is in and working fine. I'm still running above 200 but no where near as hot as I was. I ran her hard to and didn't come near over heating. I know that my timing is off some.....Pings a little when I stomp on it at lower RPMs. I'm pretty sure it's the timing, along...

    5 or 6 speed C3

Fit Paul, Thanks for the info on your experience. I looked around on information in the ZF-6. From what I found in the couple readings I did was that this transmission would fit '93 Vettes and up. Do you know if it'll bolt up to a C3 or if the modifications are minor enough that it...

    Vacuum Advance

This it? I think this is what you're talking about. The green arrow is pointing to a screw that I think is plugging the vacuum. I can't get out to the car for the next 5 days so I have to go off the pics that I have. Thanks for the help.

    Vacuum Advance

Thanks John I should be able to let you know how much it affects the car around town and on the highway too. I think a bunch of the CAC bunch are going to get together down in Virginia this Saturday.

    Vacuum Advance

Makes Sense What you said makes alot of sense and follows what I'm feeling when I drive the car. Where does it vacuum tie into. I have two vacuum sources available right there. One is the vacuum from the center carb to the front and back carburators and the other is a larger vacuum coming...

    5 or 6 speed C3

Thanks for the extra info I appreciate you posting the info. I emailed the Hanlon Motorsports to find out the difficulty of bolting onto a C3. I'll post what they tell me.

    5 or 6 speed C3

Hanlon Motorsports Henjo and others, I know it's been a while since this thread has been looked at, but in my search for information about the subject I figured I'd see how your project turned out and post another suggestion. Have any of ya'll heard of Hanlon Motorsports . A friend of mine...

    Vacuum Advance

While I was changing out my radiator, I was looking around the engine bay and noticed that there is no vacuum advance connected to the distributor. The car seems to run fine, but then again I really wouldn't know the full potential of a 427 either. I do know that its more power than I've ever...

Any Suggestions for Electric fan conversion?

Spal from Dewitts I'm also using the same dual 11" Spal fan setup from Dewitts. All of the materials that you will need come in the package. Like Chris said, they aren't cheap but are very high quality. I'm looking forward to getting some use out of them this weekend after the 2nd Radiator...

    Compression ratios

Sunoco 94 Like Rowdy, I use the Sunoco Gas. My engine is 11:1 compression with Aluminum heads and I'm not hearing any preignition. I do carry a bottle of Octane Booster in the back compartment incase I need gas and have to stop at a station that doesn't offer 94 octane. I've used that bottle...

Thanks I love everything about the car except the obvious money pit that it is, but I wouldn't trade it. The carbs have been tuned once; they were only slightly out of tune. I don't want to know what is like when they are not tuned. I'll have to have somebody show me how to do it...
