Lacking Real Experience
Chris,
In high school, I had a Bradley GT I that I was planning on doing the same thing with....doing all the prep work myself to keep cost down. It is very time consuming and hard to get it just right. I don't have to experience to tell you to go ahead with it or...
Road trippin it
Congrads on the relatively few problems on the road. I just took a 500 mile trip in my 69 427. Surprisingly, no one tried to race me. I felt like I could pull away from any of the cars but then again didn't try too much. I really enjoy the highway driving with the tops off...
Draining Differential
Could I just remove the cover and allow everything to flow out then replace the seal with a new one and then replace the cover? Is there something huge that I'd be missing here if I went about it that way?
DARN IT
Sorry...but had the whole story typed and my computer puked on me and "terminated" Internet Explorer. So here it goes again.
The trip ended up being 500 miles round trip...almost as much as the previous owner drove the car in the 7 years that he owned it. No new issues arose...in...
NUT, You're back to MD Safe and Sound
Thanks for the gas gauge advice....I'll remember the gas cap this time too.:L
Speaking of 4.11--I did have a question about the rear end. There was a problem with the positract making noise when it gets hot. I have the additive; how difficult is it to...
Thanks
Ya'll were beginning to worry me.....credit card, AAA, cell phone.:cry I believe in her. I think she'll do fine. I'll let ya know how it went Sunday evening.
I'm getting ready for about a 4 and a half hour drive this weekend (each way)....mostly highway. I purchased my 69 a couple months ago and I have only driven it a couple hundred miles since. I've had the car tuned up already but I wanted to find out if there are any major things that I should...
Like these guys have said
I read the posts from the other forum. There seemed to be a couple opinions opposing the C4 but not too bad. When I started out looking for a Vette, I didn't like the C4 body style very much and didn't even conisder it. Now (little more than a year later) I would...
Gasket sealer
I just bought a set of center caps for my vette. I'm thinking of using some type of non-hardening sealant to help hold them in. I think I saw a post from another member in some other thread about this.
I really wanted this posted, haha!
here's the link to type in:

I should've just done that the first time, oh well.
WOW
That's probably the most amazing thing I've seen. I couldn't leave the computer before I read every post and looked at every picture.
Chris, I'll definitely be checking up on it, but can you post when he had this beast on the road. I'd like to see a video clip on the dyno and track...
Thanks for the explanation
Combined with the Electrical Engineering courses that I've taken and am now taking. I suprisingly understand what you've got wired in your mind. It looks like a plan to me. I'll let ya'll know how I do this when I get an oppurtunity to work on it.

That keyless entry was installed with the alarm system. The backup battery should take care of what you're talking about I think. I wonder if that can be wired to the lock motors as well.

Raising the Subject Once Again
I was reading back through a couple emails with the previous owner and ran across something that said he used Leaded Fuel. This is something he wrote back to me in an email.
"Leaded gasoline is the best fuel to use, but not necessarily the only fuel to use. I...
The Ideas Keep Rolling In....
As chance would have it, the starter also suffers from pretty severe heat soak. Moving the Starter Selenoid would eliminate this as well wouldn't it? You guys are good. I bought a heat shield for the starter but it doesn't look like it's gonna fit. The starter...
