The one I should have kept!

The problem is very few people can keep multiple Corvettes. Storage, maintenace, etc. Many of the C-2's & C-3's I owned are now worth big $$$ but only a few of them made a large impression. The L-88 was one of those cars!

    Brackets needed

Maybe I should see if I can get some from the dealer. I've been looking for a hardtop for the Callaway and it seems like most are missing brackets! How much were brackets? Did you also buy the bolts? Thanks Ike

The one I should have kept!

I also had a red-red 69 Z-28 the 302 was definately a screamer but spark plugs and valve adjustment was very regular. Most of the new muscle is pretty easy by comparison :upthumbs Ike

    - Anything on your Callaway Holiday wish list this year??

I agree with that. I actually looked at a place like that, but house just needed too much to keep wife happy. This weather has been too cold and snowy to make much progress on new garage, but it's coming slow :ugh :beer Ike

    AMAZING C4 (for sale)

Corvette race cars have never been fully appreciated by the majority of Corvette owners. The Challenge cars are definately not dual purpose street cars in their as raced condition. I for one am very appreciative of those who maintain these cars for the rest of us to look at and get a glimpse of...

    WANTED , 1993 , STANDARD BLACK SEAT

I bought a mint 1993 black std leather seat bottom off Ebay this spring for my 89. After receipt noticed seam sewing is different on 93 seat than 89. I went this route because wasn't satisfied with look of replacement seat covers. I will have to check but think I have like $170 in this cushion...

The one I should have kept!

Not a Callaway but the 68 L-88 I owned from 1978-1981 is on Jan 06 cover of Corvette Fever. I purchaced the car from the original owner. If I'd kept it would have had enough value to buy a speedster :cry Any way have some great memories of that car and I'm sure it doesn't sound the same without...

...anyone recognize the silver/blue C'vette in this pic?

Hey Josh! good to hear from you!! Been busy with garage but I knew I had the article about that car somewhere 'Feb 86 R&T' Car was a 85 model. Was brought to TRC and ran 200 MPH. It had been there before R&T's fastest cars in America 'Sept 85 R&T' brought by Jim Ingle, a develpment engineer with...

...anyone recognize the silver/blue C'vette in this pic?

Chris: That looks to me like the car that GM used for their own twin-turbo development. Was in one of the magazines I think maybe 87. Have a copy somewhere. Can't remember GM's nickname for car. Was not a stock shortblock. :lou Ike
