I have a drawing for the later model looks like it's just two componets about $1.50 worth of parts. I couldn't tell you if it will work for C3 or not but heck it's just a $1.50
Well it seems to be to big or it just won't upload. if you want the drawing shoot me your e-mail and I'll attach it...
c3FORME is correct. TLD can only get the late model the early one is out of production. I would think that if you brought your vette to a place like napa and said I need a hose like this one that they could find one that fits.
I don't know if they make a special size for the vette but it does come in a different size.
When I owned a 71 BB I had to rebuild the fronts and I think that I had to do some mods to the one I had.
I still used a chain you can never be to safe.
I would try and unplug mine but I don't want anything to happen to my tach circuit board.
sorry.
If I run across one in my travels I will get it or a couple of them and post.
Has anyone tried to call some of the vette salvage yards.
here is what the 80 man said to do
1 raise vehicle on hoist
2 remove the tire and wheel
3 remove upper ball stud cotter pin.
4 loosen, but do not remove. ball stud nut (nut should be loosened not more than one turn).
5 to remove ball joint from steering knuckle, tap on boss of knuckle with a...
I had a split in my modulator hose at the trans. The symtoms were it wouldn't shift on its own. If I put it in 3 it would stay in 1 but if I put it in 1 and then shift it into 2 it would go into 2 then into 3 it would go into 3.
I guess I was lucky before this happened it would shift fine then...
I think it is either 00 or 000
in my 80 there is also a fuse type block and wires that run to the alt and to the batt. if you need a pic I'll be happy to venture out and take a pic.
(edit) I just looked at my shop manual and it is AWG 0 or 52.0 mm
I think that the tach filter comes off of your HEI unit and plugs into another wire. There is a thread some where on how to make your own.
the tach filter should be hanging somewhere around your HEI unless it is still mounted to the intake.
no cap and rotor on an opti,
when was the last time you changed the plug wires?
It sounds like an opti, if you are going to replace the opti then you might as well change the wires too if they haven't been changed in a while.
