    Run flat tires

I had the same issue and was told that the tire can be repaired but that it drops the speed rating down one step, which doesn't bother me as I don't ever plan to drive the car at those speeds.

    Exhaust for 77

The Feds don't have to catch you. The member that was caught here was pulled over by a county sheriff for a routine traffic stop, the sheriff looked under the car and cited her for having removed emission equipment.

    Trip to NCM

Fun trip Tom. My last tour of the museum was probably about the same time and I'm anxious to make another one. We used to have the Corvettes Against Breast Cancer event down at Atlanta Motor Speedway and we got to do laps for charity. They use to run a lot of cars behind a pace car and how...

Radio upgrades for a 77-should it be done?

Replacing the radio isn’t difficult. Removing the center stack is straightforward. Replacing the speakers, particularly the driver’s side, is much more involved. I replaced the radio, wasn’t happy with the sound through the then 25 year old speakers, which led to the replacement of the speakers...

    Exhaust for 77

There has been some discussion here on whether or not being subject to emissions inspections equate to being allowed to legally remove parts of the system. Under the Federal law, you are not legally allowed to remove any emissions components from your cars. If you aren't having inspections it...

    Exhaust for 77

I went with Flowmaster when I converted my 77 to true dual exhaust. I kept cats on the system not wanting to run the risk of having getting pulled over and having a cop get a wild hair and citing me. The sound was good with a slight drone at 60-65.

    Question: Aftermarket Radio Install

Look around for the various adapters, etc. that get sold as add-ons to the aftermarket radio. I added an aftermarket radio to a Dodge Charger and out of the box it lost all the integrated functionality. I bought the aftermarket wiring harness and a "translator" and everything worked. They are...

Looking for "The One" 69 Stingray

And the original factory air will likely not be as good as a Vintage Air unit.

    Question: 1976 Corvette Stingray

Google "sidepipe inserts". There are inserts for the sidepipes that muffle the engine sounds.

Question: C5 cabriolet all season rounder in Sweden?

A good convertible top shouldn't leak in the rain. I've had my C6 and C7 out in heavy Georgia thunderstorms with no problems at all.

    Question: Corvette's always run HOT!!!!

The C4's had the reputation of running hotter due to design but I've never heard of the C5, 6 out 7 having that issue. With routine running my C6 and 7 run around 200 degrees or less on the hottest of days.

    Help! Really, floor mats slip.

The original clips in the 06 didn't work very well even when they weren't broken off. Mine weren't broken and it was a constant thing putting them back on.
