Just a guess, but maybe someone along the way has removed the needle and put it back on in the wrong location. The the needle go below the lowest marking on the guage went power is off? To fix it remove the guage; note the needle location before you remove it. Then remove the needle and replace...
I've seen the red one in one of the Corvette mag. awhile back. COOL !!!! I really like the split window boat; I've never seen that one before. Are those real or just concept?

If you need any other pictures let me know, I have a few others. The mounting taps from the C4 seats were welded onto the C3 tracks. As you can tell They are not exactly centered; That was so I could get the seats to center as well as be able to move forward and back. It took me a full day to...
You are right that a couple of the guages looks a little bumpy. That was becuase my faces were pitted with rust from moisture biuld-up sitting in storage during the winter months next to the Pacific Ocean. Such is life in the Northwest.

They have backs; The ones I have are cloth. They were manual tracks, which made it easier to put on to my C3 tracks. I have pictures of the seats installed and the modified C3 tracks w/ the C4 mounts welded on to them.
They are a little taller than the stock seats; but if you are not to tall it...
I know what you mean about not bright enough; but I'm old and I can't get thing bright enough any more. That was one of the things I like about the white face, they are much easier to see. At night they are really good.

One thing to look at is the color of your needles. 78'-82' had white ones and some of the earlier C3' had red ones. I used a black marker pen to color mine. Glad I was of some help to you.

Well I have them on my 78' and they look good. They are a good fix for those with pitted faces. Getting the guage needles off is not as easy as they say. I broke one of the needle and had to super glue it back on.
If you use these and thing to think about is to note needle location before...
I thought of that; but it doesn't happen under power and balance should happen any time you our at the speed. If I'm running thru the gears up to 80+ no vibration. I am going to change the wheels soon, I have a set of Enkie mesh wheels. I've been waiting to find centers for them before putting...
Hi, I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this thing out. ;help I have a vibration at cruise speed that will make the steering wheel shake. The strange thing is it doesn't happen under power or when I let off the pedal a little; only at a cruise above 50MPH. :bash
Maybe some of you can...
I prefer the 15s myself; a nice set of Centerline Drags or the Wires shown above. I've had both over the years and like them both. Just me but the 17's or 18's just don't look like a C3.
To each thier own and if you like it then that's all that really matters.

A 4in. back space will just clear my rear sway bar. As to tires, your 255/60s will fit on a10in wheel. When I had my Daytona wide body I ran 295/50s . So, tire and wheel size will also depend on the ride height of the rear of your car.
Hope this helps in some way.
