Hi folks,
Well the rears are leaking so it's time for new SS sleeved calipers. In looking at the Vette Brakes web site, I see there are a bunch of different options and I need some help on how to differentiate these. My car doesn't get driven that hard and only gets 500-1000 miles per year so...
Hi folks,
The radiator in my '65 SB is starting to show some minor leaks. It's not a problem at this point but I'm thinking of replacing it before it decides to blow up in some remote location with no cell phone reception (isn't that where it always happens?). It's a correct, undated Harrison...
You will have to cut the fiberglass. They did this at the factory as well so there's no way around it. I believe you also need to buy different rocker panel trim.
However, before you go any farther I would encourage you to give some more thought to this. Yes, the sound is wonderful and they...
Hi folks,
I guess the correct replacement tire size for the C2 is 205/75-15, but as you probably know there isn't a lot of selection in that size. Also, most of them are designed for high-mileage applications with hard compounds, and since my '65 only goes a couple thousand miles a year I'm...
Mine pops open in this way all the time. As far as I can tell the mechanism is fine; either the top was installed too tight, or it has shrunk over time.
The workaround for me is to never drive with the top up, but that may not work for you if you live in a rainy area. :-)

YES - it's definitely a 2-person job.
And as IH2LOSE pointed out, you really have to get into it and whack the crap out of the spinners. If you're new to knock-off wheels I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you have an experienced owner demonstrate this for you. Otherwise you may find it hard to believe you...
A while back I posted a long message about how to replace a battery in a non-A/C car. Detailed instructions included, based on my personal experience. Check it out:

My '65 has an older set of repro KO's and the spinners do NOT have the cutouts for the pins. Having driven 15,000 miles without pins over ten years I can tell you with a high degree of certainty that the pins aren't required to keep the wheels on. The proper installation procedure is...
Hi Vaughn,
My main point was really just that you shouldn't expect to make any money off your midyear Vette.
I certainly wasn't trying to shove every midyear owner into the 40-65 box. In fact, I'm 36 and I got my Vette when I was 26. So it's clear that there are lots of reasons people buy...
It's a bit of a fallacy that prices will automatically increase with age. If they did, '64 Vettes would be more valuable than '67s. Obviously they're not.
Price is purely a function of supply and demand. Midyear Corvettes already went through their major appreciation phase (when the '67 big...
I'd like the color to be as close to original as possible, but this isn't a restoration either so I may just start off trying the Eckler's vinyl paint.
A previous owner painted the interior bronze/gold color so unfortunately I don't have any pieces that could be used to match with new paint...
Hi folks,
Does anyone know the correct paint brand(s) and color code for a '65 saddle interior? I need to repaint my center console.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
