Racing? Stewart just moved over and shoved Kenseth off the track and almost caused a huge pile up... for no reason. That's not racing... that's Tony showing that he is still a hot headed little prick. All he proved was that he can talk the talk, but he can't walk the walk.
I like to see...
Drive it.... not worth the agrivation if something happens. Sure it can be fixed, but once it's broke, it will never be the same. Better to ship a daily driver on an open trailer and drive the vette. Besides... nothing like a nice road trip!
Call Barnett Performance in Atlanta... www.barnettperformance.com
or 800-533-1320
I got mine there... they were the cheapest by about 10% plus free ground shipping.
A little?? If you define a 100 megaton nuclear device as little, then yes.. the BB ones need a little nudge! :W
Never heard of an issue on small blocks. Dave
So... A year later... Spiral Turbo's are on order.
TOO LOUD!!!!!
I'd still run 'em open, but if I want to take any long trips this coming season I wouldn't make it with intact ear drums!
Giggles
I took her out for a spin yesterday... they HWY was dry and salt free. My buddy and I cruised down to I55 (about 30 miles) at 80mph. He was in his '66. I was in the BBC. Turned around and came back. Man does she love the cold air. Gas her and shift into 2nd at 80 she just plasters...
Mine sat for over a month without turning over.... Gave her 5 full squirts of the pedal... turned the ignition.... Poooooomm!!!!! fired right over... no rough idle.... just like normal. Maybe you got some water in your gas?
Interesting idea there Tom! I wish I knew what cam was installed... the only thing I have to go on is an Edelbrock 425HP kit... but that could be any number of cams.
I'm worried that when I swap my heads I will run into valve slap issues. I'm going to pick up some edelbrock BB Chevy aluminum heads complete with springs, valves and locks. I'm planning on transferring the roller rockers over... and just want to make sure they will not extend the valves into...
There is a 170$ upcharge for Stainless Steel guides and seats over bronze... is there a benefit for my application (regular driving and an occasional trip to the strip), or should I save some bucks?
