    Is anyone running aftermarket oil pans in a 80 - 82 years, and what kind are they? I'm putting together a new motor and I don't have any idea what will fit. Are standard chevy small block oil pans the same, or is the vette different. thanks!:) Ron

    I put new 373 rear in my 80 over the winter, now when I go WOT somewhere in the 4500 rpm range the car falls flat on its face, like its running out of fuel.     Has anyone tried the duels bent just for the 80 - 82's from Mid America? I was going to replace the crossmember to a 79 with the holes for the exhaust, but these look very nice... I would love to know how they fit part # 603-862 for 80-81's part # 630-866 for 82's you can look at them...

    The Visor elbow has broke off in my 80, I pulled the cap off, but does anyone know how to get the shaft out? Look like some kind of spring clip, but I can't seem to get it to pop off the shaft.... any tricks? Ron:(

    Towing a 79

    I live in Pa., and need to pick up a 79 Vette in Kentucky, can I tow from the front wheels, or do I have to use a trailer? What needs to be done if I can tow from the front tires? Will it hurt the rear? Will the wheel base fit on a Uhaul trailer? I hope someone has done this before....

    Quick shift

    My tranny in my 80- Vette seems to shift very quickly from 1st tru 3rd, even when I give it a foot full. It also doesn't downshift quite like I think it should, it will kick down if full trottle it but seems to lag any other time, any ideas? Ron

    Instrument panel

    I keep blowing my inst. panel fuses, when I first bought the car at Carlisle a few weeks ago, they worked for about 10 minutes at night then blew a fuse. I replaced the fuse and no troubles for 3 days, now, it blew agian, and as soon as I turn the parking lights on... any ideas?

    I'm replacing all U joints, wheel bearings, and bushings in my 80 Vette, it has become quite a project! I noticed tonite that there is slight movement in the rear of the trany, that I thought before was the front U joint in need of being replaced... so how much play is normal in the rear of this...
