Thanks for the advice. I don't suppose this AIM has been scanned in anywhere by chance? Thinking maybe I can get it close with the manual and fine-tune as Frank describes.
Hi folks, it's been a while since I was last here. I am finally ressurecting my Corvette after far too much time sitting dormant.
My neighbor's kid put a baseball into the windshield last summer but that's OK with me. The car was a rollover when I bought it and the windshield frame never...
Pasquale, thanks for the compliment. I'm proud to say that all work was done by me - custom parts, all the way to the paint job. :)
Chris, how close to the top of the dash was the work done on yours? Mine is bent somewhere below the top of the dash.. Did the guy who did your work build the...
Anyone know how tough it is to replace a C3 windshield frame? Can it be done without taking the clip off?
Mine was bent pretty bad when I bought it as a rollover, now that it's time to replace the windshield I want to get it a little closer than it's been for the past few years.. :) I don't...
I had a short in my wiper switch once - took me 2 weeks to track it down. I was able to take the housing apart, clean the switch and put it back together again. It was very simple to do.
Hope this helps.
Maybe the bent shafts the mechanic was talking about is the camber rods. For some reason, I've seen a lot of these bent and I really hope it wasn't by someone trying to do an alignment :)
I had this happen to me, too. I know the '74 is a bit different from the '78 but I hope this helps. If you can reach the latch from underneath, there's a lever on the bottom, below the swivel that actually does the latching. If you can push the forward part of that lever up, it should unlatch...
Thanks, Phoenix. I'm assuming you mean the T-5, the T-10 was a 4 speed. I just looked at the gear ratios from the T-5 and they look pretty good - deeper first gear that the T-10 plus the O/D.
Anyone else have experience with the T-5?
Hi all,
Anyone have any experience with any 5-speed tranny conversions? I'd like to be able to find something out of a production vehicle. I've currently got a T10 in my '78 that needs to be replaced or at least gone through very thoroughly, right now it sounds like a M22 rockcrusher with the...
I had the clutch fan sieze and break apart one day.. One piece went through the hood, one through the lower rad hose and one put a tiny little dent in the fuel line. I put flex fan on it and noticed a power increase, but the noise wasn't too bad. I would go with electric fans these days, though.
