Anybody have any info on the whereabouts of the 54 Vette that was raced in the 1954 Mexican Road Race? It had Illinois license plates on it in a photo I saw. Was reported to have lost a connecting rod & was a no finish. Has it ever been found?

Could someone run out into the garage & measure from the bottom of the front crossmember to the lip on the opening for the hood? I'm returning a drag racing flip front end to a stock hood opening and don't have the stock supports up there to use. THANKS!!!

Am thinking that the last time I recall seeing a new C1 in the Chevy dealership they all had folding tops (except for the hardtop only cars), all the chrome, gauges, etc. Who is the person that seems to have removed all these parts from the cars over the years? They must have a real stockpile!:)

I am trying to find a gas tank for my 54. Anyone know why my '69 Chev parts book calls for 53 to 62 to use the same fuel tank (#3796030), but the repop tanks are listed as 56 usage, or the vented ones for 57 to 62? I have written to the tank mfgrs & they don't even know!

Anyone know if a 61 crossflow radiator (using an external expansion tank) and radiator support will fit into a 54 with a V8?
