Actually, anyone can order. You need to be a member first and then may buy as many as two replicas.
The Diecast Zone is a separate entity, albeit a branch of the D4C. There are scale forums, car lists and reviews and even auctions for the various scales of diecast models. Check it out.
is now available for ordering. Must be a club member but this is going to be one special Franklin Mint 1:24th scale creation. It replicates the '63 Harley Earl Sting Ray.

I just changed the battery on the Z06. I now have a steady, "Check Engine" light on the dash. The manual goes into some of the things that may have been the cause but suggests that the service tech needs to handle this. Any way I can do it or will a few trips in the car shut it down? Thanks for...
CONGRATULATIONS! :beer Like you, I bought my first Corvette in that same year, 1971. It was September and the car was a new 1972 convertible in Ontario Orange firemist. I think I will fix a martini tonight and toast to you and everyone who has owned, currently owns or who will own in the...
Great point Patrick; the C5 Z is unique among other C5's for that hard top feature. And even from the C5 FRC's with the ducting and wheels. The C6 Z would have benefitted from more delineation from it's C6 bretheran in my opinion. Have to admit though, I love its wheel design.
:beer
I like the agressive look of the new Z but to me it will not eclipse the slender, flowing lines of the curvaceous lady that stole my heart in that exquisite yellow gown. Long live the C5 shape and style! :upthumbs
Now that the C6 Z06 has relagated us, power and performance-wise, to owning the second 'quickest' Corvette ever made, do you feel as though we need validation? Has our Vette ownership been so eclipsed by the newbie that we are hurting? What I mean is, do we need vindication for owning our...
Patrick is absolutely correct. Only time I've experienced it was while driving recently with the sun behind my shoulder. I turned and the HUD reacted properly again. It was weird while it happened though.
Aside from the other good replies here, may I remind you that most insurance carriers know their insureds. They do inspection checks on a regular basis. If you are in the same household, they already know about your driving record. They will automatically rate the highest class car, in this case...
Sweeeet! Well I'm just an old grayhair. I bought my first Vette, a brand new '72 LT-1 in 1972 at the age of 25. I'm now 58. I got the C4, a '94 Copper Metallic coupe, last Fall at the ripe old age of 57; so I'm not certain what that says to the poll! HA!
Bill,
I followed with some interest, the Noble effort (sorry for the pun) from the backs of car magazine ads to the center of their pages. Watched a great segment of the show, "Dream Car Garage", dedicated to the Noble at it's plant in South Africa, I believe. The Noble is no johnny-come-lately...
Just found out a little more about the paint. Tony, a member of the Corvette Club of the Palm Beaches, on Florida's east coast, just talked to me about this paint. He was just finishing his '63 split window some years ago and was looking for a color to paint it. He fell in love with a Porsche...
You're correct that Dark Bronze Metallic was a code 66 color for 1985 Corvettes. The 66 code was used again in 1986 for the Copper Metallic but, of course, the colors were separately distinct from one another. I believe there were 1,030 Dark Bronze Metallic cars that year, the least sold color...
Hi B17Crew!
Thank you for the compliment and the inforamtion. I tried to buy the convertible at Roger's but was a little late as it was being held for an earlier buyer. So I bought the coupe instead. It has 15,000 miles on it. What made the convertible so rare was the 6 speed tranny - one of...
