Well I try to pay back all the help I get from others on these boards when I can.
He'll print a rough black vinyl sticker with white image on it...really sturdy, like plastic almost.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Here you go. I made this and sent it to the guy that does the white guage decal kits. He printed it on a rough black vinyl and it's perfect. Just lay it over the existing faded/cracked decal or sand it off.
I don't have the details of who the guy was but I believe he's on ebay or probably...
Well Lars has helped me out on more than one occassion. As a military guy with limited resources, it was a god send. I know that guy is super busy yet he shares and help without reservation.
Lars is the man and I appreciate what he does for me and many others.
Not Cav, HQ element. Wont give out more in a public forum.
Yes, it would be nice to have the manual in PDF. Mine wont survive the trip if I bring as the pages are falling out of the back and they are really made of very thin paper. If I can't get a scanned one I guess I buy another copy but...
Thanks guys, I have the parts manual and assembly manual in PDF, I just need the owners manual and service manual. The service manual is the one I'll likely spend most of my time reading. If all else fails I guess I'll try to scan mine at the library or Kinkos.
I'm leaving a couple of weeks for deployment and would like to take my 1982 service and owners manuals with me. I really don't want to take the paper version and my service manual is to the point I need to put it in a three ring binder anyways. If anyone has a PDF version of these I would sure...
Thanks, I have located a couple but the prices are way beyond my wallet...especially for a used item with no warranty. I opted to patch the tank just for my deployment and when I return I'll send it to Moyers in PA or continue to search for one a little less $$$.
I understand these cars are...
Less then XX weeks to deployment and I find a couple of pin hole leaks in the gas tank.
Apparently they don't make an aftermarket version so if anyone has one for sale or knows of a company that relines/repairs these gas tanks please chime in.
The way the garage smelled I thought a main...
I just went through this on my 1982. My front was so low I couldn't drive the car so I ordered stock replacement TRW springs. When I got them they were shorter then the worn springs I took out. I was worried but then I found the insert that discussed the technology behind newer springs and...
My understanding is the condition of the existing paint and/or body work determines the need for a sealer. A sealer protects the new paint job from any existing body work or fix that could bleed or stain. Unprotected areas that have been sanded or stripped down to the glass would need to be...
That's a huge bang for the buck. Considering what a typical paint job runs you're doing real well....and a warranty. You should buy yourself something else just to celebrate the huge amount of money you saved.
Yours looks fine...it's hard to tell from my pics but mine was too low. I've completed the left side rebuild (offset A arms, gas shocks, coils, poly everything, etc.) and I can tell you I gained back the missing 2" +
The manual I have says the stock height clearance from the rockers is 8.68"...
Homework is right :) I've ordered the digital dual head manometer, gasket kits, new injectors, etc....I want to make sure everything is set on the cross fire. That forum is really good, lots of tech articles and good feedback on what works and what doesn't.
