I unfortunately just had this problem today while I was cleaning my seats on my 04. The handle came off while I was adjusting the seat and though I can snap it back on the shaft stem, the handle is not gripping the shaft stem enough to move the stem and recline the seat. I had to use a pair of...
I'm sorry, Barry but....;LOL
Love the web cam idea. Better yet - have it miked up so CAC members can bark out orders to you while they watch you work. "No...not the 3/8" wrench Barry!!!! Don't forget to re-torque those bolts, Barry!!! Hey Barry - is that a spot on your new paint job?"...
Understood. These things are a lot more complicated than a simple motor swap out, aren't they? ;) But hey - nothing wrong with what you've got. You could even get the Keisler without the stroker - it's a great mod. I've got it with a 3.73 rear - would be great w/ your 4.11 too.
Good luck...
I have a stroker w/ a Holley 650 double pumper and a Holley 110gph fuel pump (Holley recommended this fuel pump for that carb, and also in case I ever go to a 750). With my heads and cam, I'm told I should be 400+ hp but I've never had it dyno'd.
Would there be an advantage to using thicker...
Bob, I'm confused about a couple of things in this article. At one point it says "...there were 20 C-48's produced, 16 of them with the aluminum head engines...". At a later point in the article, it says "Of the 16 aluminum head L-88's that rolled out to do battle in 1967, only three survive...
Glad you got that straightened out - I've been following this thread. Was this another AC Delco pump that went on you? By the way - looked for you at Carlisle when I met Barry - hopefully see you next year.
:beer
What I also found interesting vs. last year was that last year seemed to be a mid-year showcase out on the field with a lot of '67s for sale. This year, there were a TON of 67's up at the auction - less so out on the field - but the number of 68's and 69's were way up out on the field - I...
Barry, it was great meeting you. Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet some of the other CAC's that were there, but there's always next year. By the way - I hope you finally got yourself some seats that you indicated were only an option in '65 :L
I'm researching this same issue with the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold for a friend of mine with a 69 that he's also rebuilding. It's a big block car (427) and he's putting an Edelbrock 780 carb on it. His concern is the same - that the Edelbrock Performer manifold that he wants to get...
Looks sweet :cool I've got the same setup but with Eagle GT's. 15x6 Cragars with 3/8" backspace on rear; 1/2" on front (not sure why the front/back spacers are different - got the car that way). Also just got got the extended lug nuts. Bubba was using shorter ones. What size tires are you...
I also have a scratch on my passenger side window I'm trying to get out but I can't find this product on the Ecklers web site - is it only in the catalog?
Thanks!
What's the difference between what Forte's does and what Keisler does? Is Forte's customized / bolt-in like Keislers? Keisler's turnaround time is actually only about a week, but they're saying that Tremec is backlogged, thus the long wait.
Thanks - I appreciate the info. I'm going with the TKO-600 (.64). Keisler has a 6-8 week delivery time - sounds all too familiar. But it will be worth it in the end. I'll let you know how it is.

Culprit, I'm also seriously considering a Keisler 5-speed and posted a reply to BeaterShark with some questions. I was just wondering if you got your 5-speed and if so, which one and how is it? I also have a 3.73 but with 415hp and trying to decide between the TKO-500 and TKO-600(.64)...
