I just purchased but have not received yet some Bilstein Sport shocks but am now wondering if I got the wrong model or not after reading some posts about them. I don't do any autocross stuff, just some "spirited" driving now and then. I'm wondering if the HD model would be a better choice, I'm...

I bought this setup from the original owner who just removed it from his Chev. Street Rod. It appears to be in perfect condition, no evidence of fuel leaking, or tampering of any kind. The mounting holes have not been enlarged or damaged in any way. Looks like it was installed once and...
Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge of someone installing this system and running it. I've read articles from people installing them who are getting paid by FAST to write an article on how great it is, haven't run across a "real" user yet though. Looks pretty impressive if it actually...

This motor has always shown 80 ibs. pressure on startup and almost the same after warm up. Regardless of oil temp it cruises at about 80 lbs, I've verified that the gage is correct by installing another direct reading pressure gage.
Sounds good but when I pull the valve covers with the engine...
I rebuilt my brake calipers and installed new pads a couple of years ago, calipers were S/S sleeved and looked fine so I reused them. Generally they have been fine but once in a while they would tend to slightly pull to one side when stopping then the next time it might be the other side...
I ran into this interesting article about oxygen sensors. I was suprised at the fact that silicone gasket sealer used on valve covers can affect the O2 sensor.

I have Firestone tires lettered Firestone Firehawk and was going to get a couple new ones but the lettering has changed to Firehawk Indy 500 from what I see. Is it the same tire with different lettering?? I don't seem to find any with the same lettering as mine.

I'm replacing the frames and see that the door hinges are riveted to the frame with flush rivets which I do not have. Has anyone else removed and reinstalled these hinges, what did you use??
Thanks

I know this sounds a little stupid but I can't help myself!
I want to limit the amount of timing advance my HEI dist can is producing so I installed the Vacuum Timing Limiter Plate from Cranes adjustable vac advance kit. The instructions say that "each notch on the plate will shorten the...
A little off topic maybe but it could be a Vette:D:D
Amazing pictures...notice how the plug fires before TDC showing advance. Bill

I'm rebuilding a 79 Q-Jet and I have some conflicting information on where exactly to take the measurement for the float level.
Doug Roe's book clearly shows measuring pretty close to the middle of the top, I've run across some pictures from Chevy High Performance that show the same thing...
I went to a top fuel event in Epping NH last weekend..........man what an experience!! I'd never seen them before in person, the noise they make is incredable!!! Here's a few shots with some alcohol cars too. Great fun!!
Check the camera man from the Speed Channel, I bet he has no...
I had this radiaator re-cored in winter of 06, ran 500 miles and removed it for reasons not relating to the radiator. I just had it flow tested and pressure tested to 20 pounds by a rad shop. This radiator has always had distilled water and antifreeze in it. This is the thick core, I've been...
I had to do away with the perfectly working mechanical choke on my Q-Jet when I switched to this ZZ4 motor so I replaced it with an electric one that's never worked worth a darn. I think the housing with the bi-metalic spring I have is made by Edlebrock, it has the number 3182A on the outside...
