I use Hess (Premium 93). Have a station a couple miles from my house. Prices are almost always lower then anyone else around. I use it for my wife's car too (87 though, not the 93). Never had a problem. When I am not near home, I stick with the major names, Mobil, Exxon, BP. Just an aside...
I couldn't agree more! I do not use a front plate, and so far I haven't been stopped for it. But if I do, and if I get a ticket, I will gladly pay it. Just doesn't look right with a plate on there, IMHO.
Chris
the other option is look for another classic car insurance company that allows more miles. I know one company I looked at had a 5,000 mile limit, of course now I can't remember who that is. May be worth it in the long run. But if you are in the business, it may not make that much of a...
just watch
if you had agreed value on the classic policy, you lost that when you switched. So, if you total the car, you get book value, which may be significantly less..... or so I am told.
similiar question
I would just like to get some opinions on this issue as well. What would a fair "agreed value" be for an 86 coupe totally original, in excellent condition with 11,000 miles on it? Just want to see if i am in the right neighborhood....
Thanks
I had a similiar issue. I was on the highway and a truck kicked up a rock.... it hit the windshield, but did not break it. It did produce a white mark on the windshield. It was smooth to the touch, but the mark was noticable. I took it to three glass shops and no one would touch it. They...
Went for a ride down the shore today, found a gas station with Premium at $3.26. I was at just under 1/2 a tank, so I pulled in and filled up. $37.00. In my area it is $3.49, so my little road trip saved me a couple bucks, and I got 26 MPG on the road (50 mile trip one way). I am not going...
Well, I went on my first extended ride with my 86. I had to drive to the in laws in PA and decided to cruise with the top off and see how she does. Before this, I merely went for local rides, or a quick hop down the shore. This was a two hour and forty five minute ride (each way, done in one...
Best I did was 28 + (2.59). Around town usually do between 18 - 20. Sure beats my SUV's (Suburban @ 10 - 12 MPG and Explorer 15 MPG) $2.25 a gallon for reg here!!!
Congrats! I am in the "not so good" public employees retirement system, so I have 24 years 3 months before I can go (and I have 11 years in). My wife, who is in the "great" retirement system can go in 13. Hope she doesn't think she is getting the keys....:nono
My dad lives in Olean, so I...
I really can't help with this matter at all but I just had to laugh when I read this post, as I have never even turned my wipers on. I sat in the drivers seat last night and it took me a minute to even find the switch. Just thought that was funny. Sorry I can't help, but good luck!
