How high do you need to get the car...

You could say that. There was enough roon to slide the tranny on the pan and just clear the frame. I have now bought 4 6000 lb jack stands and can get it higher. There is an other 8 in left in the stands I could extend if need.

How high do you need to get the car...

This is how I did my 90 when I pulled my auto trans. Drove it up the ramps first, lifted the rear placed the jack stands then lifted the front a little more and placed the jack stands in the front. It was solid and didn't move.

Drove it 1400 miles to Mid America's Fun Fest and back and the sound levels whern't that bad. I could...

    Throttle Body Coolant Line Bypass

I can't say if it incresses HP but it does keep the plenum cool while driving. After I did the by pass I found that after driving for a long while I would stop open the hood and touch the plenum and it was cool compared to the rest of the engine. Let it sit and the plenum would heat soak and get...

    flowmaster force 11

I put a set of the Flowmaster on last year and I like them! This year I replaced the front Y pipe less the pre cats and it made them louder but not obnoxious. In fact it enhanced the sound. There is a bit of resonce but a highway speeds not bad. The wife and I went from Western NY to MidAmericas...

    Body Flex w/ Top Out

Installed a camber brace two weeks ago and it made a big difference in the front end. With the top on the wheel doesn’t shimmy over bumps feel's really sold. With the top off it reduces that wobbly not in control feeling. Doesn’t completely get rid of the frame flex but goes along way to reduce...

Ignition module in distributor, do you guys change it?

When I bought my 90 last year it had 83K on it. 1st thing I did was replace the plugs, wires, put and Accel ignition modual , super coil, cap and rotor. Never regreted it. Runs strong through the entire RPM range. I would go ahead and replace it.

2006 Z06 Corvette: Meet The New "Firefox"

Rob your article and pictures where great. I envy you for having gotten a ride in the Z06. We had one come to our show but is was black! I think your description and analogies fits the Black Z06 to "T". I posted these pics before but I think they fit with your description.

    fuel rack leak

The only way to fix a leaking fuel rail is pull it out and replace the "O" rings. The plenum and the runners have to come off first. Then can you get to the fuel rail. Not hard but a bit of work and new gaskets.

    How does PCV system work?

Glad to hear it work with no problems. I had replaced my injectors with a set of Bosh I got from a friend who purchased them from TPIS and put a 1000 miles on them. He is now building a 383 stroker. This addition along with an adjustable fuel regulator, 52mm throttle body, a Y pipe with no pre...

    How does PCV system work?

You pull the fuel rail off as one piece with the injectors. It will be a little tough to pull it, work sections at a time. After this many years, the O rings will be stuck. When the rail is off flip it upside down the injectors are held in with rotating clips that hold in injectors in place. You...

    air injection prob.

What little clamp? Is it a small worm type clamp? If it is this clamp it goes up around the air line and a small tab on the exhuast manifold colector area where the Y pipe bolts up to it. Not easy to reattach. need micro fingers.
