Wonderful pictures. I am so jealous, we dont have that kind of scenery here in Oklahoma.
Are you liking your LED tail lights? They seem to have a pattern to them. Information please.

Work looks excellent. I am in the middle of a frame off on my 1977, and looking at our car begs a few questions if you dont mind.
What filler are you using on your panels. I am using a variety of fiberglass resins etc, but wonder what to use for filling thin areas etc.
You may want to pm me...
Just and FYI, they are now recommending engine oil specified for diesel engine use for an engine with a flat tappet cam. This guarantees you will have enough Zinc in the oild to protect the camshaft. Also, I have been in your situation, and yes, restart the clock, and as long as you were...
Very excellent. I am impressed with the fitment of the hood and headlights. I am in the middle of a frame off, and as soon as the rolling chassis is completed, I will be tackling the bodywork.
That is looking very good. Are you going original color, or looking for a change?

I am rapidly approaching the one year anniversary of starting my 1977 frame off restoration. I have progress to date fully documented on another site. I dont know if it would be appropriate to post a link to the thread so I havent, I dont want to upset anyone. Puling the body off is not...
George,
I am rebuilding a 1977 coupe, and the windshield frame is in pretty bad shape. I dont think GM ever changed it, PM me with a price if you still have one please.

This may not be helpful, but, the front of the console cover carries some weight from the center of the dash, and the nearest support is half way back along the console. This causes the console top plate to arch, which does not line up with the top of the side plates. I have had this happen...
Ok, donning my flame suit, but if your engine is stock, then you dont need a 2400 rpm stall converter, the 454 makes tons of bottom end torque which is what gets you off the line. All you will probably do is burn much more rubber, and reduce highway mileage.
If you do put a higher than stock...
The holes at either end of the cylinder heads are for water circulation. On nearly all small blocks, the holes at the front are tied in the intake manifold thermostat passage, but the rear holes are blocked. It was considered that there was no requirement for coolant flow from the rear of the...
I saw about 112, took 12.7 seconds to get there according to the time slip, she was still pulling VERY hard, but after the traps there is nowhere to go :(
Yes, I remember seeing videos of the flex problems which was quite an eye opener. We have looked at mine, dry steering with the engine running, and with it off, and hard against the stops from end to end I have no noticeable flex. Maybe I got lucky, but I am not complaining, and I do however...
I have no detectable flex in my steeroids setup, although I have seen reports about it. Just about anything from Steeroids, VB&P, Flaming River, etc tend to be of really high quality. Its just a matter of choice.

Umm, the pcv valve should have a hose going to manifold vacuum at the base of the carb, either on the rear or front of its base plate where any blow by is drawn into the intake and is thus burnt. The other valve cover should have a filtered breather (mine is attached to the bottom of the open...
Denying all legal resposibility for this response, but I cant see it being any problem, most gm pumps put out about the same pressure and flow. I have steeroids with a stock pump, and love it. BTW, the biggest difference between a saginaw pump with a v belt and a saginaw pump with serpentine is...
Dumb question, but is the block the right way up?
Not sure if it makes any difference, but on mine, if you loosen the bolt, the block can be turned all the way around, maybe its a shorter distance from the bolt hole to one end?
Cheers
