my tach works sometimes, and is so bouncey other times it is unreadable. I have my driver's side dashpad out right now will replacing my speedo cable so I tore into my tach, the board looks ok, what else should I be looking for?
How much "play" should there be where the pitman arm attaches to the power steering stuff? I get a little wiggle there, not noticable while driving, but if someone turns the steering wheel while the wheel is off and looking at it you can tell there is some more than I'd think is normal.

What are the symptoms for needing to rebuild/replace the front bushings in the trailing arms? Here are my two symptoms:
On the interstate if the lane has "grooves" from traffic in the lane, my 76 feels like it is on ice, can't keep it going straight for anything. it feels like it is the rear...
Here are the pics *finally*:

pouring concrete in teh foundation
forms for the pad
finished pad - cured for a week
third wall goes up, they were built off-site and trucked in, 4 walls up in 1 hour

I ordered my garage through a local garage building contractor 4 weeks ago. The concrete/excavating crew was supposed to be here the beginning of the week. We left for the weekend today (friday) at about 10AM. Got a call from our neighbor when we were about 2 hours away from home and the...
title says it all. I've got a trim ring on my ralley's with 2 valve stem holes about 6-8" apart. Looks like factory.
A local club member says it was a factory mess-up and worth some money. Said to hang on to it.
Any body know anything about it? is it on purpose for some other application...
I have an old arc welder (stick welder) and am building a detached garage. What electrical requirements should I consider for a welder? It is a pretty big one in my opinion, a little larger than one of those little college dorm room refrigerators, runs on 220. I have 200 AMP service to the...
After comparing some prices. I finally ordered my new garage this past weekend. I know it is already too small, but 16x22 (car and a half) is as big as I was comfortable with going with at my house. We aren't planning on living here forever and thought anything larger would hinder the sale of...

Any suggestions? Im building a detached 2 car garage for a woodworkign shop/vette parking. I have a dust filtration system to catch all of the dust in the aire, and cover the vette when it's parked anyway. But are there any other suggestions on having my two hobbies share the same space...
Hey guys/gals,
I've got a basically stock 350, with NO EGR or any smog stuff, true duals, no cats, 4 barrel carb and of course the vette has posi-trac rear end gears. I think I've got 3.70:1,
My question is this: If you rev er up and pop the clutch, shouldn't you see some rubber behind on...
I just bought a '76 stingray, the engine is not original, but I think might be a "clone" of the L82. It has a Edelbrock Performer intake and a 4160 double pump Holley Carb with vacuum secondaries. I've never had a vacuum secondary car before but it seems like it just doesn't have a good pull...
Hi (I'm new here), I noticed if I jacked rear of the car up, and with one hand on top of the tire, one near the bottom I got a little play. Would this be the bearings? I thought the previous owner had replaced them. Is it possible that something just needs tightened up? Any previous articles...
