When my '79 calipers started leaking I took them apart and polished the inside with a brilo pad. Oreilly auto parts had a rebuild kit for $11. I have done to calipers so far and have had no problem. Sure beat $90 for rebuilt calipers.

You should try some octane boost or better gas because I've always heard 9.5 to 1 compression is max for pump gas. Good luck.

If your rebuilder has not checked the line bore of your main bearings he is doing a bad job. If it is not line bored it will wear your bearings unevenly and lead to premature failure of the bearings. FIND A NEW REBUILDER THAT DOES EVERYTHING HIMSELF ONSITE.
