betting you have a linkage adjustment prob. need to check that all is in alignment as the shop manuals say. just a bit off can cause probs between sync gears[ 1-4] and non sync reverse. let us know how you make our and what you find.detailed alj proc in assembly book if you have it.

I run 93 octane with no problems in my 64-327/300. No pinging, no problems so far in the last 8 years. Welcome aboard.

I agree--This is a large laminated print with the wires correctly colored to match the real thing. Great tool of us to have and good enough to frame and put on the wall for future use. One of the better investments I made. You won't be sorry.

Didn't it orginally have a battery shield there as std equip. Thought it did. Will have to check some vendors catalogs, etc. If I come up with something i'll let you know. Maybe some of the others can chime in here.
