Drive only 10 mi. in a year-change oil?

Hib, are you suggesting changing the coolant every 3 years for all street Vettes or just his 10 mile per year example? RG

decided last minute to change the rear diff fluid...

The limited slip additive was on the bill. I had discussed it with them when I decided to do it. It's a good dealership and I've always been happy with them, though I've only had fluids and minor service done, nothing major. They are recommended and used by the local Corvette club which says...

decided last minute to change the rear diff fluid...

But I saved the old fluid in a jar in case the next owner wants it! :D

decided last minute to change the rear diff fluid...

Dropped the Vette at the GM dealer for an oil change before winter storage. At the last minute I asked them to change the rear differential fluid. My idea. No problems or no noises back there. I have always changed all fluids on a regular basis (oil, tranny, coolant, brake) but never the real...

How are the 1996s holding up?

That does not sound too good. Curious. By "these" do you mean older Corvettes or new Corvettes or all Corvettes? How about other sports cars? Same ruling? When did this law come down by the way.... RG

I can feel the AC system drag on the engine...

Curious George, your post came up while I was reading LT4man's post. Seems to me then that this is pretty common on C4's and mine is working fine. Like LT4man said, it has been a long time since his was stock so he may not recall the cycle effect. It is no big deal for me either when...

Ok, thanks LT4man. All points noted. RG

I can feel the AC system drag on the engine...

Thank you LT4man, this does help. So you are saying the freon level is the issue. Maybe with the wrong (low) freon level the system cycles more too. Do you feel absolutely no drag at all when the system is on? By the way, I assume yours being a CE it is equipped with the electronic climate...

I can feel the AC system drag on the engine...

Well thanks guys for that. Yeah, I can feel it alright and it does strike me as strange you can feel it cycle on these engines. Must be lots of C4 owners who have noticed this and accepted it as normal as I did. I've never seen a thread relating to it before. AC works like a charm, but still may...

    No Run flats

Tusket? No idea. But, they have an 800 number and you call, they come. Could take a while, but they come. Oh another suggestion. Carry a cell phone and don't get a flat in a dead zone or else you will go :W!!! RG

I can feel the AC system drag on the engine...

Since I've owned my Vette (7 years now) I've always accepted the fact that when I set the climate control to auto cool, say at 68F, I can feel the compressor (or AC system) cut in and out as I drive. By that I mean I can feel it drag on the engine or performance as it cuts in and then more power...
