I don't know the "born on date". I was told by my dealer it came off the line the week of December 15. It was received by the dealer on December 22. I took delivery on December 23 - the day the plant was idled for the Holidays.
I'm beginning to think (as mentioned by Rob) that the difference...
Something is amiss. The factory had a production target of 75 (I think) units per week. If 833 units were produced in 2008, that means 315, or over a month's worth of production, were produced after mine (#518). Unless my unit sat in Bowling Green for over a month, I can't make sense out of the...
I'd be surprised if 883 have been produced. I took delivery of #518 on Dec. 23. I know they closed the plant around Christmas and aren't scheduled to re-open until mid-Feb. I see in the registry that #609 is the highest numbered registered. Using a Kentucky windage estimate, I'd say somewhere...
The only dealer (in Houston area) willing to quote a price after allocations (couple of weeks ago) but before ordering point quoted MSRP + $100k. Yesterday was able to negotiate a much, much smaller premium and place an order (for my wife) with another Houston area dealer.
Ordered my wife's ZR1 yesterday. Was told 8-10 weeks for delivery. We'll see. Anyway, will pay a premium, but not as much as I have read here or quoted from another dealer.
Can't wait!
67l36driver - thanks for the acronym. Yeah, I have the chassis service manual, I was just looking for an easy answer instead of trying to interpret what I'm guessing are alot of variables.
I'd say 20-25% throttle.
"WOT"???
I do have 7.75x15's and a 3:36. I would think 60-67 mph in low gear would be well in excess of 4,500 rpm - which I can't believe is right or normal.
I have a '67 327/300 A/C car with a Powerglide. I'm curious at what rpm should the transmission shift from low to high under normal acceleration? Currently it shifts at around 3,200 rpm, but that seems/feels a bit high. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
Congrats.
I too went through flight judging for the first time this past weekend (the car has been judged on several occasions, but not with me as its owner). After watching the judges spend in excess of 3 hours on my car and findind a gazillion small problems, I received a top-flight ribbon...
Here is what I've learned:
The Bose system sends a very weak signal to each speaker location. That signal is then amplified by individual speaker amplifiers. To preserve the head unit (navigation system, touch screen, controls, XM, etc..) as installed, the only reasonable alternative to get...
