Amazing car.
Are you like me?
Married with young kids. I only own a slightly modified '99 coupe, and an NCRS Top flight '70 LT1. Lucky to have what I have, and barely have time to drive either vehicle.
It's one of two possible GM part numbers: #88893543 for a Coupe or
#88893549 for a 'Vert.
Each kit originally sold by GM contained a switch, harness, indicator light, instructions, and belt.
Any leads appreciated.
I need to replace the GoodYear OEM EMT's on my '99 6-speed.
Can anyone please make some suggestions?
I'd like to stay with run flats, BUT DO NOT want to replace with the GoodYear tires that came with the car.
I'd appreciate:
1) suggested brands and sizes
2) best vendor prices

thanks guys. i just got the car.
previous owner did a body-on resto 12 years ago, and only about 2-3,000 miles since.
i'm still getting to know it's quirks, and it was important to check/replca basic fluids as a new owner.
car is running VERY cool. the temp gage works and indicates not...
johnz,
thanks. spoke w/the guy who did the work. he said he cut and peeled away the hoses...is aware of the nipples coming out of the core. hopefully, it's just a loose (original) tower clamp.

bobchad, thanks.
do you think the hoe coming off the radiator you spoke of would route all-the-way back to the area down below, near the passenger firewall?

i just replaced two heater hoses and flushed the radiator and cooling system of my 1970 LT1. i drove the car (kinda hard in 75 degrees) for about 20 minutes and parked it. it started LEAKING COOLANT from an area close to the passenger side fire wall...after 15 minutes it stopped dripping.
did...
CONGRATS. I too just purchased a '70 LT1 conv't. with the help of ncrs and the tech & judging manual, it's real and registered.
now, please read my latest question on the forum about my coolant leak, or overflow...

hope someone could answer a simple question...
i just purchased a very nice 70 LT1 conv't.. i need to replace the heater hoses. they are incorrect and have some sort of "goo" on them.
the goal is to top flight the car.
what supplier can i contact to get the correct hoses and related hardware?
hopefully, someone will reply with a solution. i only have one remote and there are no unusual messages diplayed on the DIC. My factory warranty expires 2/02.
I have a 99 Corvette with a cranky remote FOB transmitter. It's only working intermitantly. Why?
I replaced the battery in my FOB transmitter, and followed the instructions in the owners manual detailing how to "re-syncronize" the FOB and "re-learn" with the key in the ignition.
The...
I'd go with the fliexible fiberglass. i own a 74 conv't, and have replaced both front, and half of the rear bumber ('74 has 2 piece rear bumber) with original poly urethane.
even if you are going for ncrs top-flight, you will save money and headaches down the road by using the flex fiberglass...
i'd like to have my 99 corvette's magnesium wheel repaired/refinished. i bought the car with 8,000 miles on it. the first owner chewed up the passenger front rim. not bent. just cosmetic damage.
i've been referred by a few folks to "wheels america". they promise to match the magnesium paint and...
