:rotfl Thank God I don't have kids. Or a wife. I can devote my resources to MY toy.:cool Looks liike my Corvette is going to get my inheritance. ;LOL
I think I need to replace the rear wheel bearings/hub assemblies in the near future. What IS the mileage limit on them?
Is it a good idea...
Well, that does it for me. I'm buying the GM weatherstripping set.
"sriat" is about the 10th dissatified buyer of non-GM 'stripping I have come across. Given all the time and effort to install all this weatherstripping, I sure as h3LL don't want to do it over because it leaks. Plus, the...
I don't know the laws/nuances of the State of Colorado. I have seen pickups with the plate in the rear window. I have seen street rods with the plate in some of the strangest places. Why not a 'vette with the plate on the dashboard? Incidently, the reason for the Zip-Lock bag is to keep your...
As I see it, you've only got two choices.
A. A contoured clear cover, and B. Stick it in a large Zip-Lock bag and put it on the dashboard.
I would NOT just put the plate in the bumper recess and leave it. Somehow, that just seems wrong.
ABSOLUTELY. We spend $6-8 a quart on good oil (synthetic). Why would anyone risk engine damage to save a few dollars on a risky filter??? It just doesn't make sense to me.
I became aware of this oil filter study a few years back. In the early study, WIX -made and Purolator filters were the...
Good job, McSnagg. That's the kind of information I've been searching for. It's not perfect, but what is? It's a good start, though.
Thank you.

'90 'vert
If it was me, I'd have them both painted. Bring the broken one along to be used as the paint match sample. Prep work is expensive because it is so time-consuming. You can assure yourself of an excellent, flawless base layer--and save some money--by sanding and priming them yourself. Then all...
One of the reasons I bought a '90, was because of the analog guages. In researching Corvettes prior to my purchase, I concluded that the post-'89 dashes were much less troublesome and cost less to repair.
The another reason was the nose and the tail styling. 1990 was the last year for the...
Split the difference. Get a '90. Same body, better dash. Most advanced of the early C4's.
Or..... you could get a '96 and put an early C4's bumpers on it.
I'd bet that it's just a convertible with the optional removable hard top (RPO CC2). I wouldn't consider that "rare". Strange that the guy didn't provide the soft top's color, though. I'd bet it's black, too.
It's sad that he took an 84 that was one of the first few and modded it. Car #521 would probably bring an awful lot more in the NCRS world that the current $5400 bid.
I agree. I am still not convinced that I should buy the first year of any model--unfortunately, Corvette included. Besides...
Yeah, me too.
Here's what I'm thinking of doing: New front Y (no pre-cats), high/free flow main cat, Walker rear Y w/crossover balance tube, and Walker DynoMax mufflers. I want a system with the best flow, least back-presssure, no resonance, with the lowest amount of Decibels that I can get...
