Currently I am running BFG P215/70R15 T/A Radials on all 4 of my bolt-on knockoff wheels. I am looking to find the maximum size tire that I can install on the rear tires without rubbing. I have a reasonable amount of clearance now and "guesstimate" that P235s would fit.
Any info would be...
I found a 1963 Split-Window Coupe for sale at an outrageously low price that has to be too good to be true. I wonder if this car is one that someone found missing from their garage one sad day. The VIN is 30837S113175. I checked the Black Book and the numbers are correct, but I have not see them...
Hey Everyone,
I really appreciate all your thoughts and advice. I decided to hold off for now. If anyone knows of a nice C4 that is looking for a new home, please let me know.
Thanks and best wishes,
Andy
Hey Everyone,
I found a one-owner 89 Black Coupe, automatic, well maintained with service records, clean in and out, possibly all original, new tires, new head gasket and injectors. The car runs great.
My concern is the 110,000 miles. Should I be concerned about the mileage? What is the...

My 65 roadster is on the road several days each week throughout the year, weather permitting. Although my odometer is "frozen in time" I estimate 3-5,000 miles per year. I go to cruise nights and shows, but the best part is always driving to or from the event. As mentioned in another post, we...
Tree Limb Damage...
Sad day for quite a few owners including the guy in the Blue C3 behind me as we were leaving the Fair Grounds.
The storm was intense, small branches where flying everywhere but we were gridlocked in traffic. I pulled up to gain the protection of a berm from the flying...
High Torque Mini Starter...
Since I installed the high torque mini starter, I have not had any problems. Granted, NJ is a bit cooler than AZ, but I would give that mini a go. I wish I had known about it sooner.
Good Luck!
I don't have the specs, but I have heard that the normal starter cranking is about 200 rpm and the reduction gear starter can produce 10x that much which can easily start a 18:1 compression engine.
As far as my 11:1 327/350, when my normal starter was not affected by heat soak, the engine always...
I had a similar problem when my engine got hot. Turned key, no sound, just silence, although I had lights and power from the battery. When this occured, the starter never cranked the engine over. I checked the ignition, wiring and ground cables. All were good. When the problem first occured...
SOLUTION -
Many thanks to all of you who sent suggestions for solving my problem. I checked out every one.
It seems that starter heat soak was the culprit even with a newly rebuilt heavy duty starter.
I installed a permanent magnet gear reduction starter, also known as a high torque mini...
