What is your esimate for installation of the lines?
I've never done brake lines on a Vette and haven't really checked the routing. Don't shoot people, but the last time I replaced brake lines was on a '69 Mustang!
I just had to have my Centerforce replaced after only 10000 miles of "aggresive street" use.
Still had plenty of pad, but it started slipping in higher gears, then the peddle got mushy.
I checked the fluid and it was low. Checked under the car and no sign of leak...oh oh...
Took it in and...
When you are there, make sure you keep it below your tech inspection limit.
The have radar along the route to keep the State happy and exceeding the speed limit of your tech class can (will) result in invalidation of your "race" licence and you get a ticket for the amount you are over the...
Brake upgrade recommendations
Well, time to replace rotors and pads all the way around my 1994. It’s been awhile since I did brake work, but I want to do the work myself. While I don’t do any competitive driving, but do get very aggressive regularly.;)
While I’m sure this discussion has taken...

Great service you're providing to the community.

Dave, I'm having it done by Roger Kraus Racing in Castro Valley, California. They were recommended by several local sport car owners and Solo II racers. They specialize in suspension / tire / brake end of racing. After talking to them, I have changed my mind on the PST parts. They have had good...
Dave,
The shop I'm having do the work has ordered parts for me. (Cheaper than direct from PST and they have the sway bar bushings from another vendor (don't know who yet)).
I'll be having it done next week.
Rick
Resto75, I'll make sure they are the graphite parts. Thanks for the heads up.:gap
Dave, I haven't found the rear sway bar bushings as a separate item on www.p-s-t.com. Did you get them or are they the only rubber bushings left in your car?:hb
I'll call and talk to them tomorrow about the...

Thanks for the feedback. I know I want to go Poly, I was checking on the specific product from PST. Supposedly, the graphite impregnated parts are self lubricating. :BOW
Rick’s feedback sounds good to me.:_rock I have to replace the front lower ball joint anyway, I'll have...
Hi all,
Anyone had any experience with the "POLYGRAPHITE" front end kits from Performance Suspension Technology?
http://www.p-s-t.com/
I want to tighten things up in the front end and rather than go piece meal, want to replace everything in one shot. $249 for the kit seems reasonable.
A...
Thank you all.
As I said, I have the manuals at home. Just assumed :hb they used a common sender, just reported in different displays. Should have realized a bit of redundancy is a good thing.
I will, of course, check the sender.
Thanks again.

I hate to be lazy, but if getting the cluster out is that big a deal and since I have the output from the ECM to fall back on, I think I'll wait until I have a more serious issue before diggin in....

Hi all.
The coolant temperature gauge is not working on my 94 Coupe.:cry
If I look at the digital display, the ECM is detecting the temperature and it appears to be reasonable as the engine heats up.
Does anyone know how dificult it is to dis-assemble the panel and find out what is wrong. I...
jedi, if your friends brother had already modified the engine, the clutch may have made a significant difference. But stock, almost no difference.
Getting poor hook up in the transitions really kills the times.

Electric Water Pump
Has anyone looked into electric water pumps?
I'm not sure where I read it, (I was surfing at a rapid rate, saw the comment, but didn't register it as important until I couldn't find it again...:hb ) but it claimed the following for an LT1:
1. Standard water pump flow is...
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to replace my clutch. Planned on doing it a bit later, but slipping she is when going 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I've lost the 2nd to 3rd scratch...Irritating...:cry
I've only been a Vette owner since August, so don't have much experience modifying yet. But plan to...
