OK, I may have missed something here. The FSM says to set the TPS to 5.4 (-+.08) volts and as I read this thread you say .54 volts or am I not seeing the decimal point in the right place?? There are three wires, red, black and white, which of the wires are hooked up to the volt meter and is it...
Don't need connectors, need the hose that runs all the way from the canister to the TB. Mine is brittle and when I try to heat shrink it, it breaks in another place but I REALLY appreciate your offer. Bob
Vacuum Hose
I have an 89 and need the hose assembly(?) the goes from the canister to the TB and "Y' s off. Any one know where to get this part? Thanks.............
Appreciate the response. Will try again soon, very frustrating. I wonder what they do when they race these things and break one!!!! However, I'm thinking that it would be easier if I took the top dash pad off, if it would be more accessible?? I'm sure I'll get there, just a matter of time...
Have a cable that is loose, the one that goes into the firewall behind the brake booster and assume that its the accelerator cable. I've taken out the seat and bottom dash panel (drivers side) and still can't get to the top of the accelerator pedal to see if there is anything loose or broken...
Anyone have a problem getting the bottom screw out of the TPS when changing it?? Does the TB have to be removed or can it be changed with it on?? ;shrug
Looked for a thread that addressed this but to no avail, so, when I start my car it idles at about 600 RPM and as I'm driving, the darn thing wants to race to about 1700 RPM and won't come back down until I shut it off and then at restart it idles about 600 RPM again. Also, when it does race...
Thanks for the post, should have switched them when I took 'em loose but didn't now have the wire holder issue!! I scanned my parts manuel but couldn't find the part number (if there is one!). Appreciate the help. :thumb :w
Underhood Lights
I know this an old post but here goes anyway......I unplugged my lights some time ago and just let the wires hang, however, I popped the hood the other day, the driver side wire caught on something and pulled a couple of the plastic wire routers (separators?) loose and broke so...
OK, guys (& gals!) here's the bottom line, finally. I found the problem and solution to the situation. As indicated in the pic, I'm assuming that this is probably rare!! How it happened is anyone's guess. I found a gentleman who sold me just the part that I needed and he found me a REASONABLE...
Caught the article on "How to Jack a ZR-1", I'm assuming that's the best one. Haven't had too much time to sit with it today, family stuff, ya know!! Thanks.
