    C1 Clunk

Maybe the bracket that the rear spring eye is in is loose where it bolts to the frame. I think they are 3/8s bolts and I have saw the bolt threads get rusty which allows the bracket to "move" on the frame. And they are just about under your seat.

    C-1 Tail / Stop Lights

The brake light switch sends power up to the turn signal switch where it splits and goes to both rear turn signals giving you brake lights. It really shouldn't matter if the headlamps and taillamps are on or not. That's why I was thinking a ground.

    C-1 Tail / Stop Lights

Bernie. My car has a metal ground strip that runs above the lower edge of the fiberglass dash that the gauges and dash lamps ground too. But my dash is also different than yours (see pic). My car has a ground wire in the wiring harness that grounds to both tail lamps, bumper brackets and...

    C-1 Tail / Stop Lights

My car is older but there is a black wire (it may have a tracer) that bolts to the back of the tail lamps and grounds to the steel strip under my dash. I just can't remember off-hand but it may be the same wire that grounds the tank unit for the fuel gauge.

    window crank issue-1960

If I had the regulator here I could repair it. The spline is just an old Chevy window and door handle spline. Maybe you can grind a flat on it and then epoxy a piece into the handle to take up the flat area. It's kinda Bubba but....... I would just fix it right and have it done with. Bob

    window crank issue-1960

I'm supprised that the handle (crank) didn't wear first. Did someone have vice-grips on it ? Try cleaning it up with a small file and then useing another handle, or switch handles on the drivers and passenger doors and see what happens.

question re: 4 speed setup in C1

You can make the newer stuff work as it all bolts up. The only problems I see would be the pivot on the engine for th Z bar. My 57 uses a flat bar with a ball (pivot) at the front that bolts to the bellhousing, newer bell housings didn't have the mounting surface. You may also have to make up...

    T-10 clutch in a 1960

A 69 B+W ? The clutch would be ok but somewhere in those years there was a long and short throw out bearing . Bob

question re: 4 speed setup in C1

If you have the original starter , flywheel and bellhousing it will bolt up to your 66 engine and work fine. Bob
