The Magnaflow website list several authorized dealers in my area, and I will start getting some quotes next week. Like many of us here, the list of mods can be endless, but I think that starting with the exhaust and/or intake systems can yield the most "bang for the buck". I'll keep you guys...

F15over, do have an automatic or manual tranny? Look at your option codes. If you see "G92" that means that you have the peformance axle ratio (3.15 for auto's). My 96 A4 has the G92, and it's 3.07 ratio does seem to have more kick than the standard ratio from a dead stop.

I'm looking to free up some of the LT1's breathing and just wanted some input on what might be the better of the two approaches. An SLP "claw" or the regular K&N with an open lid? Are there any better options? I will be doing this soon, so any input will be appreciated. Thanks!!

I have read a lot about the LT4 engine and about the varying HP ranges that these motors will produce, (330-380hp) bone stock. Conversely, I have not heard much about any varience in the 300hp LT1. I was wondering if there are also some LT1's that for whatever reason had some "extra" ponies...

My 96 auto has the 3:07 gear ratio and never gets above 25mpg. I guess this is still pretty good considering that the A/C is always on. It's ALWAYS HOT here in South Texas!!!!!
