    The Black Wheel Trend

Most of the peoples do not like it. For an obscure reason, I really like it. I had the picture of my car with black wheel in mind before I buy it. That was also my first mod shortly after I bought the car. The good thing is that this is my car and I can do what ever I want with it. This is...

Waitin' for the tow truck blues

I have been following your post for the past few days and I’m glad it turns out to be as simple. I just want to bring something to your attention you may want to check. The passenger floorboard should not be wet for any kind of storm. What we have seen often is a clogged AC drain. I made a few...

    Working on your C4...

I think the C4 is the easiest vette I have worked on. I had 3 C3s but I like the hood access on the C4. My C4 is 300,000 miles old, so I replaced basically everything on the car. The engine was never removed, but I was able to replace the oil pump and rod bearing twice. You can remove the oil...

    Squeaky belt

I had that start up noise. I replaced the A/C tensionner and A/C idler pulley. Noise was still there. The accessory belt tensionner was only a few months old, so I replaced the accessory belt idler (under the alternator) and that fixed the problem. For one guy, the problem was the alternator.

    Front bumper 1984

This is a very good idea. I struggle to repair my C3s. But C3 were easier to fix. I got my C4 10 years ago. I was in an apartment downtown Montreal with no garage. And it was my daily driver all year around. And to add, no money to bring it to the garage for repair. And at that time there was no...

    Headlight hoses 1984

Ok the hoses that connects to the canister have an input and output line that are attached to the left frame rail and are not in the head light system. I have had my head light not coming up all the way a few times. For most of the time, it was caused by a screw holding the side bezel getting...

    Headlight hoses 1984

Hi, I not too sure what hoses you refer too. C3 have vacuum hoses for headlight, but C4 is electrical. Can you clarify.

    Which Brake Pads to use

Hello MsSchroder. You raise a good point that I need to understand. The Z has the same disk, same caliper (painted in red) than the C5, but different pads. Are you saying that the standard Z pads are better than the HAWK HPS. I would like to know because my friend has a Z and told me that the...

    Which Brake Pads to use

HPS are with OEM type rotor is a good combination. I was using HP+ before with a lot of brake noise, but that was not a problem for me. I have black wheels so dust is not an issue. The problem was that the HP+ eats the rotors. I also paid $200 for the GM ceramic. I removed them and put them in...

    K+N twin flow intake

No, my mechanics did it for me…. She told me that the most difficult part is to remove the torx bolts that hold the standard air filter box. You remove the filter and will find these two torx bolts at the bottom corners of the front cover.

    A/C leak in passenger compartment

My friend 99 had that same ¾ harness running horizontal between the elbow on the drain and one of the engine head. That was making difficult the removal of the drain and more, I was afraid of having a problem of putting it back. The engine was hot also and that was burning my hand… So I did not...
