My '61 clutch z cross shaft ball has some wear on the frame side. The ball looks like its welled to bracket frame. It's about 1/16" play. What is limits and how is it repaired??
On the adjustments issue, Is free play adjusted first, then spring tension and pedal throw??

I have a '61, love it. I drive it daily, however I am retired and the long trip are to show and events, about 1- 2 hrs. max. About 2-3,000 mile a year.
I enjoy working tinker with it.

I have a '61 with a 350 eng. The old existing elect fuel pump chatters and is located near the single 4 bar. carb. The local guys told me it should be at back of car near tank. (pushing).

I am a new owner of a 1961 which has a 350 engine, it has an alternator. Without the orginal generator I have no tack drive. Does anyone have any experance in a replacement tack? I would like it to fit in the orginal tack gauge hole. I don't thing I want go back to a denerator & regulator...
Coil wire
The resistor (ballast) wire drops voltage to prevent point burning. The starter by wire gives 12v for easy starting however points may burn. I am not sure if this what your talking about food for thought..
